So I read this description of Baba Yaga that told of her "mouth that stretches from here to Hell", and decided then and there that I absolutely had to build her. References were old people on the bus, random magazine cutouts, and myself. (laugh all you want.) I should note that she has nothing to do with Blankslatejoe's Baba Yaga, but I do think his version of her is gorgeous, especially the chicken legged shack.
Plaster cast from silicone mould of earth clay positive, acrylic paint. I'm planning to try her in other materials, because the mould is still in wickedly good shape. When I do it in latex or similar, I'm going to add hair, eyebrows, etc.
This was a pretty quick job- 10 hours total, so I'm not going to be too precious about it.
I'm a little concerned about the paint job on her skin. Any pointers?
Some process photos:
My very first bathroom-silicon mould.

I like it, I'm a little dissapointed there aren't any ears but otherwise it looks great. Excellent colour on the teeth.
