    Help With Toned Paper

I bought this "Mother Earth" sketchbook so I can make highlights with a white medium. I started it and I'm really not that satisfied. Should I be using pencil and white colored pencil? Gouache? Can someone link me to an example of an artist the has successfully done this please? Because I've seen some in the past but I can't find any anymore, and I am really interested in it. Thanks guys!

just keep playing with it, you seem to be doing fine. try the white colored pencil with regular pencil or with pen, try some white gel pen, gouache can be fun too, just play with it. you're off to a good start.
    good luck
