thanks, bhanu. nice of you to visit again. you're absolutely right, i should start with anatomy studies. i guess i'm still shying away a bit... right now i'm still on vacation, but when i get home a friend of me is nice enough to lend me his hogarth books. so i guess i'll start with anatomy next week...
thanks for pointing that out, sometimes i'm just too hesitant.

here we go. week 3 and i've got a new page, this time with long-"promised" sp. done with mirror, but i gave myself another focus-point to make it a bit more interesting. but i guess i'll do the next one looking forward...
sometimes i feel like noses are my natural enemies, so i really have to work on them...

this is all good work i especially like the sp , but what the hell are you drawing on... is this printer paper on top of concrete ? Theres a texture there that doesn't seem to be from the pencil, and it makes the line and texture hard to read, and if it is something under the paper its probably making it hard for you to draw too...

    hi there!
thanks for re-visiting, torin! heh, the "concrete" is my desk here. it's not that bad on the original drawings (and it's not harder to draw), but it shows a lot more on the scans. when i get home i'll have my better "equipment"...

and of course welcome back, infinit! really nice you keep coming around! how's the scanning doing? (mal'n bißchen druck machen hier...)
the anatomy-stuff will start when i get home and the mind-drawings will hopefully come along with the practice... but i'm definetely having more fun already (and feeling more confident) to draw from imagination...
    always appreciate your comments!

so, i'll draw a last "before to bed" drawing, will post that tomorrow, i guess. thanks a lot, guys!

    have a nice april 1st!

man, when i first opened the forum today, the scientology ad scared the crap out of me... the celebrity-section is really creepy! didn't realize it was april 1st quite some minutes... but then i thought what if nature knew aprils fools? so my quick sketches became quite weird. just a little fun in between...
tried to loosen up my style a little and not going so dark too early. creates some new problems scanning the drawings, but anyway:

    wow
    ...sucks to be an octoflea^^

a loose and sketchy style is very Ok
cause it´s good to be able to bring movement and comlpete figures on the paper fast
but never lose the will to create more "finished" pieces

otherwise you could get stuck on speeddrawing

haha, yeah i wouldn't want to be such a creature. imagine how it looks when he actually jumps. damn, i have to become so much better to not only imagine stuff but actually be able to draw it...

thanks for the advice with the speeddrawing, i guess i was so concentrated on drawing faster that i'm going for another extreme... will work on more finished stuff soon...
