    Arrow Need help on how to study anatomy

    i always wanted to make my own characters and stuff and i go to art class every saturday do life model sketch with willoow charcoal, i would say i did not too bad(was thinking put not bad untill i saw u guys works here). but now the problems when i try to come with a character i cant really figure out how to put the image in my head down on paper... it just didnt come out right somehow...
    thanks ahead for helping me.
    P.S. i already have an anatomy book which i copied from my art teacher back in highschool.

    Learn proportions first! Nail it down in your head then learn anatomy.

    I highly recommend reading the Andrew Loomis books. http://acid.noobgrinder.com/Loomis/

    Start with "Figure Drawing For All Its Worth".

    I like youre life drawing compositions...I would keep going for something more finished, you definately have a good start. Loomis, Bridgeman, and Pose file books are good to study from. Bridgeman is especially good for breaking up the anatomy into simple 3d forms so I would start with him.

    Hey nice drawings. !! Try to study the skeleton. That helps me when i make characters. Its still a struggle for me to create characters. One thing that is important is to find the ballance. You should try the "animators survival kit" by Richard Williams. Its a great book. Just do all the drawings in the book, and understand them. then you are good to go !!!
