    Painting on rocks, Ciruelo Cabral

    http://www.dac-editions.com/petrop1.htm

You really have to see these in person for a breathtaking effect, fotunately I was able to see them at an exhibition that was held this month where I live, along with his paintings. He doesn't sculpt or alter the stones in any way, only paints on them making use of the stone's natural 3d nature.

Very cool... I'm sure in person they look a lot better, but they look pretty impressive on the site.
I thought I recognised Mr. Vai's face, too

When I see these the first thing I think is "hey I should try that!" but no...I'm too cowardly. Like Mort said, there's little room for mistakes. Very awesome though.

His paintings are pretty suprising too. Some I love some others not quite.. I think that his style morphs a lot unless the peices on there have been made far appart.

very cool, that guy has some serious skills.im wondering though, if the illusion is lost when veiwing the stone from the wrong angle?
