    Stupid Staple Gun Argh!

Alright, so i'm stretching canvas, stapling the shits with a new staple gun, and the lever is completely jammed. It won't budge, no movement, no nothing. I've taken the little spring tray contraption where the staples go in, but that doesn't help either. Also, the gun is the Stanley cheapest brand. Or rather, the cheapest gun because I didn't want to buy the expensive one. But what the hell should I do? Stupid thing's stuck on the first day! BLAAAH!

My hammer and tacks have never jammed on me, but perhaps I just take very good care of them

A staple has jammed up next to the hammer. Take a pair of needlenoses or a thin screwdriver and see if you can drag it out. D'uh...

Put it really close to your face and look carefully into it while repeatedly trying to staple, then sue the company when you put an eye out. Free staplers for all!

Cheap staple guns are horrible. If it causes you a lot more trouble, I'd suggest getting a new one. This was the best purchase I ever made for stretching canvas. The design eliminates kickback, and they come in a few different sizes. The smallest, cheapest one has been more than adequate for me.

Alright, thanks for the tips everyone. I just gave up on the damn thing and went back to the store for a refund. The thing is, the guy took the gun out of my hand and went and got another one. Took the new gun out of the package and handed it to me. So I just got another one, hopefully this one doesn't crap out like the last one did. Wish me luck. :/
