really an amazing sketchbook in here dood.
And damn this last portrait is standing out like 10 levels ++ out of the other stuff you showed so far, great work on that one!
just keep on rocking, and try to apply the stuff you learn while drawing/painting from reference/life in your paintings done from your mind, because you seem to know a lot but it's hard for you to apply all your knowledge in the stuff you do from your imagination!
very motivating... hope i will reach such a level someday...
keep up the great work!
Easily one of the best threads I've seen in some time.
very nice potrait!
You're good. Great figure studies.
hey great stuff again dude, how old are you and how long have you been doing art stuff like this?
in an earlier post you said you have learnt nothing new from your current teachers, are you mainly self taught?
Exceptionally good rendering. I think you get too tight, but that's more a matter of taste. In any case, becoming less concious of form and the literally visual would really make your work more expressive (which is at least half the battle, right?).
wow! you have some really smooth rendering skills there. Those sketches look like they're crawling right off the page. Hey, can we trade hands?
i like the oils more than the digi's but the digi's still look very good man. last portrait of your girl as well, impressive - the values seem real solid.
check the Tensai Tokyo Sketch Thread (Sketchbook)

great stuff, that digi portrait of your girlfriend stands out to me, fantastic work on the skin tones! the values read very well too!
Overall though, you really have to start paying attention to head porportions, they are usually way too big compared to the rest of the body.
keep it up, cheers!
lol, dude I checked your sb, and I was confused, why did you a photo from your pen and eraser. haha
so you see, you did a god job. great stuff. *****
Hey guys no time for replies right now, sleepy time, but thanks for all the compliments! and crits, i'll take them to heart. I have a ton of sketchbook pages to scan, but not right now. maybe tomorrow.

Stunning, bro. Stunning.
welcome back from Hawaii hope u enjoy it, must be beautiful ( at least on Tv etc.. >< ) anyway, first environment?! great job, with the ref is also amazing, the use of textures is quite good, just keep on that track( improvement ) haha
Hm. Many of your figures look like they have some slight proportional probably; specifically with the head being too big for the body. In your last few, you seem to be correcting this. Just be aware I guess.
Your rendering is spectacular.
nice, love the environment in the last post. I always love it when people post step by step progress, always good to learn. and of course you figure pieces are incredible.
Jas0n 0n a Bike: Thanks mate!
Call0ps: Thanks man! yeah hawaii was beautiful. But i'm sick of pineapple now!
Zord: Thanks bro! yeah it is kinda officespace-ish.
vimmel: Thanks man! glad you like.
RandAlThor: Thanks bro. Pratice does wonders!
DeathChalupa: Yeah i havent done enough charcter work to where i'm comfortable with proportions yet, i'll get there though. Thanks man!
Dabaers: Thanks man!
well since I was bumped I guess i'll show you guys a WIP i'm working on. just started last night, no ref. Though I might use some later:
EDIT: fixed those hands a bit, they were ugly. they are a little better now, but still ugly...

Damn, you have a very inspiring sketchbook here Skeiff. Im lovin your lines, man.
Myths are distorted truths, conspiracies are distorted myths. Good luck to anyone looking for truth in a well thought out lie.
nice nice..you have a good eye..and extremely talented..do some perspective studies..to go back to construction..(basically andrew loomis stuff) most of your work relies too much on outside contours and flat shapes...try some lines going around the forms..like an etching drawing without using pencil but use a pen, built up value with only lines..(as a sculptor would do too)also would like to see some environments from the life..some plain air studies..to have a feeling of real atmosphere and space.. and be very careful on your values..try some vine charcoal or conte..be very delicate on the values you put..try your hand at white simple objects with 0ne light source..to really master the anatomy of light and shade..be as painstainkinly accurate as you can..using natural light..look at some of the finest drawings from the masters to up your value power..you have the talent go for it...and draw less from photographs..they kill the sensitivity of an artist..
Love the work man also love the figures. look on your profile and it says your 19 same here. Its cool to be young and hang with the pros to check out my sketchbook when you have the chance.
NICE! Your really churn this stuff out! Commitment- that's what talent really is and you fricken got it!!! Your pencil's have come a really long way. I love seeing the progression! Nice quality to your inked stuff- really bold! And SHOOT you can paint your butt off! Nice job all around! I'll be watching you . . . *creepy* . . . so keep up the good work.
pld: NEED CRITIQUE! But BEWARE your Eyes might BLEED OUT of YOUR eye SOCKETS <---cause I really suck and haven't done shit pld:
