Thanks for the comment in my sb man. You've got great stuff here like i said before.

You might want to do some more hand studies though. You should also watch your lines, don't make em too messy!

yay for master studies!!! it would be cool to see you really push this piece to a polished level, more polished than anything you've ever done! heh, i know you've just started, but it would be a good learning tool me thinks, you can't really go wrong with a master study since you are just observing and copying.

anyway dude, i really like this thing here it would help with clarity if you got some cast shadows in there, but its cool, it shows you have confidence and control too, each stroke does what you want it to.

i also really like this guy in the bottom left on this page, cool marks

keep it up dude, great stuff!

  • Kronos: I try to do that thanks a lot for the feedback, much appreciated!

    Lee: Thanks, I try

yungks.ae : thanks man, I don't really know where to study.. right now my marks looks good.. but I heard a couple of times that any good art school accept students on their portfolio...so I have along way to go before I can get into some good artschool.. my grades and my work are on the same level kinda.. mediocre =( thanks for coming by man!
btw, where you planning on study yourself ?

Mrgrumble : oh thank you man! hehe actually im 15 in *counting on fingers* 9 days ! Im been on CA for a year now.. Joined on 3rd March!
    Thanks for the feedback!

    Asoir
    : lol! Thanks man!

    Chrishly : Glad you like

uhm, heres some "in-car-drawing-while-almost-asleep-on-bumpy-road" drawings. Bought an extra moleskine on my "holidays" , just realized how good it feels to draw on again

    I post the rest later..

    edit*
Just realized my post count 500 post and only about 40 in my own book ... I want a 2:1 ratio not a 1:2 ... but
its damn hard to update two times everytime you should check some buddys sketchbook.. and I often make small post in the lounge and the FF section.
hmm I try to stay daily... at least maybe I can get my sketchbook to get more posts then I have myself.. That be pretty cool =)

ello dile, good to see some arts!
the pen female faces show promise, keep messing around with pens, they are invaluable tools.
I reckon finding the right balence between loose and tight control lines, needs to be achieved.
good pen companions are your copics, and brushpen, and watercolour
apply washes with the watercolour to get some funky effects

the brushpen is also great for black spots for stuff like hair, and shadows

a good light learning exercise is to get a book with lots of faces, draw them out with pen, and use the brushepen for dark spots etc. great exercise for remembering it, because you simplify with only one value(black)

your pencils stuff OK, in terms of rendering, but really needs the extra minute (slow down buddy )
your lines are probably your weak point, sorta too uncontrolled and not well thought out( like your not happy with the line, so you try and strengthen it by going back and forth, this looks bad)

I read phil hale never uses an eraser. If you see his drawings he is loose but his lines never look bad.
the difference between looks and messy is that loose looks confident, and messy doesnt
    http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1172479023
this is a nice page, the design is not bad, thumbnails are good
the torso+head drawing on the right is a perfect example of loose.

like to see more of that!
    remember, long swooshy lines!

keep up the good work mate!
would love to see some self portraits, some finished drawings, some hands and studies from the mirror, and also some more thumbnails that you turn into a more finished character

just for motivational purposes, Phil Hale turned Pro at 17 yrs old!

You've got a thorough understanding of value, which is great. And I saw a few of your digitals, which I thought looked very good and tight, the two environments in particular.

I agree with Blanquish about your line quality, but he already covered everything I'd have to suggest (and then some), so I'll leave it at that.

Anyhow, good work, keep it up!

Haha, if I were you I'd sell some shit. Just to get money to assure my hands ;D
Keep it up, that last portrait is great. Try some more "out of the box" (i.e) more paints, perspective and such. But don't stop your characters, they're great

Nice dile, good looking drawings!!, I would also suggest not to focus on rending so much, I would say form is the most important thing to get down before rendering. I agree with DanielC, try to focus on the planes also when drawing anything. Well off to class, Keep up the hard work!!
