    ----------- Just thought i should post --------------
Alright, I was sketching in Sketcher with no more less then GuitarJames (above )
however, he had to leave, and I was talking to the nice people in sketcher..
suddenly, I was alone, omg , and then...mr.nice.guest894 logged in...
haha, guess what ? he ereased my sketch..asshole, ohwell, whatever..
I asked him kindly "why did you do that ? " and he didnt answered me
I hope I made his success alittle smaller by that at least
ohwell, I saved it, so who cares what mr.nice guest did !
    here it is

Also, sketch, and a try at animation, never done that before..haha

don't rush the study's, take your time to make your study's well, they will pay back sooner if you do them good.

but well, your progress is really great, just keep studying an posting you stuff.

Welcome to our SSG, Dile! Exciting work flying about here. Good to see your mixing some fun work with serious stuff. I would say the best practice at this stage would be more observed studies in life. Getting a good grounding there would help so much in future. If I may make a request: ever tried some traditional paints (you may have but this sketchbook is too vast to go through)? Its a lot of fun adds to your versatility!

I'm very excited for you thus far Dile, I'm so happy to see you busting out these anatomy studies. The bridgemans are great, your facial structure is really improving, keep at it. Man its been to long since I've posted here, I feel like an arse.

A few things with your facial structure, the two main things I see for the features of the faces are the eyes and lips like you pointed out to me on IM. First with the eyes really break down the shape of the eye, Look at your bridgeman book, look and see how he breaks down the shape of the eye, also look at how the artist you like do it, what do they do to capture the essense of the eye. I'm still having problems with my eyes also, well first you are forgetting the top eye lid which is rather thick, thats really standing out.

With your lips again your almost there, depending on what ethnicities your drawing, decendants from Africa tend to have fuller lips, thus both top and bottem lips would be visual, vs, decendants from Europe and Asia have thinner lips (and I see you doing this, which is great), so when drawing the bottom lip is more prominent and the top lip is ususally expressed with a line, but it all depends. Artist drawing females ususally give them full lips for the sex appeal, so remember there are always exceptions to the rule, nothing is absolute.

Dude, your on the right track, keep drawing from your imagination with the mixture of studies, head drawings, digi works, keep it up man, your making great progress. I'll be around more often.

oh yeah I almost forgot, really loving the scale of that animation

kids can't resist the great taste of dile!

great to see you updating again, only crit I really have to offer is some of your pencil lines seem a bit haystacked, easy enough to work through, just lay down the line and leave it instead of second guessing yourself or do your underdrawings very very lightly and touch it up afterwards.

love the spaceship looking profile pages, keep it up

    Sargent-Bridgman-Lifedrawings- Dile gone crazy ??

Oldnoobie: Thanks for being so supportive Thank you!

Zynic: thanks mate! glad to hear that!

    Asoir: Whooho! thanks

Flaskpost: Tack, Igen!! Thanks for the support!

Miguelslo: I'm not crazy..My problem lay in the fact that I hate see long
pencils lying in front of me... and to solve that problem i use em, and the more I use
em the faster that little black thing dissapears, and I have to use the pencil-sharper.
and I realized that made the pencils smaller..

Theres bigger problems when I have
    bought ink-pens though......

    GuitarJames: thanks! I agree!

Rolo: Haha, I didn't that under one of the boring deutch lessons.
the guy at my side where pointing out things from his own
imaginations... I believe i started it with that missile only..
then clouds.. than the air-plane.. also redid the missile a little..
and finnaly that guy in background love having people besides be
    Thanks!

    Zynic:Thanks!

Oma: I pointed that out myself "Rushed the studies a little damn it" !
Just to make sure no-one would thought that I thought that was OK
But alright, no more rushing just to make the deadline! thanks dude!

Oldnoobie... I know..I'm sorry...my hands where like ice for a while
but when I found some heat, they went loose, at the same time I got
my little psychical error... that I mentioned a little earlier for Miguelslo ..
    Thanks!

Prophet: Actually, I'm glad to be with you and the rest of the people in the ssg,
    and
im just the thankful guy standing in the corner smileing with alittle bit look of

someone being shy Thanks! I would be glad showing how I* did that animation, although
it was hard, and I had bad control over the situation for awhile, probably since it
    was
    my first try ever

Bendragon : Thanks man! Took your advice today..Did some small stuff from life,
    I gotta make
that a habit, since most artist here improves mostly *after* they have drawing
from life for a slightly longer
    period .
Thanks , and im glad to be in the new (for me at least) ssg!

Darktwin : Omg! thanks man! glad that I could be self-constructive haha,
    never thought
I could point out what someone else was about to point out, I did some practice
    after the chat, I couldn't
find any nice references.. although ,I didn't had the time to look around , so I used
google.com and Flickr.com and searched Eye * eyes * Iris * Portrait, and found
    some.. haha
gonna keep on that track tomorrow, I need to see after that I acctually have
    learned something from
the study I did, It need to get to your mind you know ? However.. as I said,
    gonna go hard-practicing
eyes and lips tomorrow, thanks for your comment ,and your nice explaination ,
    especially for
lips! thanks! (I belive main problem with lips are that I outline em alot..)

Inviciblewombat: thanks man! Glad to get such a positive feedback today!
    Thanks!

Alright heres some stuff, hm did some anatomy from Bridgman, but had to see if
    I actually learned
something, so I did some from mind aswell..
Also, started my "Journey" Picture today, I got 20 days to go, actually only 18
left.. but that would be enough , I dont care if someone sees my progress.
I'm gonna share what i draw.. no matter what it is. *almost. I don't post my crappiest shit..*

    Enjoy , hehe...lol...why did i said that ?

    Very good dile!
Good use of lines. You're getting the shapes good. Especially the hands.
Here are some good tips about lines, if you want to push them more:
It's from Prometheus's Tutorial Check out the rest of the page, it's really helpful !

    "Line weight
I'm not a big fan of fixed line width, so I devised some general rules for varying line width.
    • Lines are thicker on the shadowed side, thinner on the lit side.
    • Lines are thicker near the viewer, thinner further away.
    • Silhouette lines are thicker. Inner details get thinner lines.
    • Lighter materials get thinner lines.
    • Thin lines works good with detailed motifs.
    • Thicker lines work well with simple figures.
    • Fat line art works well with flat colors (cel) .
    • Thin line art works good with realistic rendering and pronounced volumes."
So... =) ....keep posting lots !!
