    Late Night

    Greetings,

I'm working through a pile of concept art for a new game company Voodoo Fusion Studios. Here's an example of one of the pieces I finished up late last night. Enjoy...Or stone.

it's pretty good. I feel that it's all around too dark and there's no real focal point. Also, the lights aren't effecting the environment enough, and since it's raining I think there should be a lot more reflected light on the ground. Is this a matte painting or did you draw it from scratch? It's a little hard to make out the figure in the very front, of the motorcycle. I like the mood and the concept, and I think it's very well painted notheless.

    Parker,

There's a quick sketch for basic layout and perspective, but it is a composited mattepainting. I understand you about the lights and the rain reflections, I could add more for sure.

Do you know what size we are allowed to post an image to the forums? I think that if I could post an image a little larger some more of the drawn in detail would show up.

In the meantime, I will put some more releflections in and look around the forum faq's for an answer to size of postings in the meantime.

    Thanks for your input,

    DFrey

    800x600 is nice.

I think it's nicely balanced, but it's too small to really judge much more.

Yeah, I'd say 800x600 is the mode Resolution for people browsing the forums... But anyone with a scanner or a tablet probably has it around 11-1200 or so

One of the only things I would recommend would be some puddles on the sidewalk. THough it's raining, everything seems kinda inconspicuously dry... y'know? Good job!

Yeah, I'm with Pix: I don't see any specular highlights on anything. Some sweet, hard reflections on the bike might make it pop a bit more.

It's still very nice, though. It just looks like we're dealing with intense virga.
