The goal was to create an alien underwater creature, something which lives in dark ocean depths.
I took a part of a plankton's head, mirrored it and painted the body, the wings and the environment.

wow, you really nailed the alien-ness, it really looks out of this world, misterious and beautiful, really intriguing, awesome job!

Great job, though, honestly, I don't think there's anything that we humans could come up with that wouldn't look right at home in the lightless depths of the ocean...
