    Update...sorta

    Hey all:

I know it's triflin' but here is one pic. It's my first digital painting (I've dabbled once or twice with traditional painting) so I threw caution to the wind and went for it. This isn't done, but I wanted to get some input. I'm going to try to make a habilt of daily posting. Work myself up to maybe 5 of my best sketches per day kinda thing. Well, here it goes:

    Thanks for looking

This is cool. better than anything I can do. The only thing I see that weirds me out is the shadow on his jaw.(maybe it's supposed to be a '5 0'clock' shadow?)
It looks to muddy sort of.

Thanks Moopuff. Yeah it's a 5 o'clock shadow. It's a portrait of a friend but I swear the boy gets stubble like that 3 seconds after shaving. i do need to blend it more though.

you may want to carry that 5'oclock shadow over onto his upper lip as well to help give the impression that it is in fact stubble, and not a weird shadow.
