    The Unfortunate Cambodian

    Hello All
I started this sculpture this morning. It's about 8 hours of work and it's made of WED clay.

8 hours ?? Damn, you're fast. That's a pretty gruesome texture there, even in one colour.. Congrats! Is that the aftermath of napalm, leprosy or.. ?
I'm a bit suprised the flesh part of the left ear is still "there". One would think only the cartilage would still be part of the unfortunate man's head.

And I who had planned to have cauliflower for lunch...

Thanks for the positive feedback y'all.
-egerie, I did not have a particular disease in mind when I began the sculpt. Rather then a disease that eats the flesh, I was thinking that it "clusters" what is already present. More like a wart/fungal virus that is out of control. Like the one on my neck....JUST KIDDING. Actually more like the one on my...

Geuseppe, you might be able to find WED clay at Bennet Pottery in Florida.
1 800 432 0074. Ask if they have Laguna Wed Clay.

8 HOURS???!!!! Dang dude, are you like guzzling JOLT Cola or what!

That's some mean fast work. Great ugly guy you got there. It's like he's out of one of those World's Worst Diseases books or something. Kinda makes you ill. Love the addition of the realistic teeth (are they dental casts or did you make them?). Is this a 1:1 scale work?

Wow, thanks for the great feedback.
Ceramicus- The teeth are acrylic castings from a mold I have. The scale is indeed 1:1.
