i don't think i'll have time to do an EOW, Rook, but in case i do, i have a ? about the 14deg S latitude -- it's pretty specific, and in fact was a major factor in the direction i took for the COW topic -- should that be considered a significant brief spec for the enviros?

i was thinking 14 degrees S lattitude...isnt that strange. Lattitude means more east to west and longtitude north to south isnt it?

    looky here: http://jwocky.gsfc.nasa.gov/teacher/latlonarchive.html
technically it might be more accurate to make it -14deg, but the "S" sort of takes care of that in casual usage.

Yea, latitude is north and south not east and west Koshime. I wasn't sure myself until I looked around on the net.

    So here's a WIP.

Hopefully I'll have the time to finalize this, but we'll see.

Oh, and one question Rook. Do we need a description of our own with these or does the original suffice? Though I guess some description is in order.

    Thanks

if anyone would like some interesting landscape refs for Northern Territory, Australia, try googling "Kakadu National Park," some nice escarpment/jungle juxtapositions, waterfalls galore, etc.

Pritch - That's a great start. But my first thought when I look at it is "Saruman's Tower from LOTR"... anyone else get that vibe? It think it's the black tower circled by the far off wall connected by radiating pathways - coupled with the proximity of the mountains.

It's not necessarily a problem, but something you might want to look out for.

Thanks for the feedback Panagos. I totally see what you're saying. The circular area with the pathways I actually am aiming to be a canopy which cover a valley or giant pit where the animals are bread and what not. I was thinking of making it surrounded by cliff walls instead of mountains, but that would be just to insert a waterfall into the background.

So yea, I don't know. I like the idea of a tower but I definitely want to stay away from anything that overtly reminds people of LOTR or anything else. Maybe less of a towering shaft in the middle will help.

Thanks again Panagos and any other crits are extemely welcome.

I think it can be a big industrial complex with a huge security wall and only one possible way to get inside - the overground autobahn.
The tubes allways smoking. And local people call this complex "The CloudsMaker"

Yo digitalfly, that looks great; the buildings stand out nice. Very dramatic. Keep it up!
