I think the movement studies you made are coming along nicely. I second what rodrigo said about redrawing the stuff that doesn't come off the first time( altough i need to remind myself of that too). Keep it up

been busy the past 2 weeks, got a last minute web assignment.

    a little update.

this was really old, but it fit the topic.

for this, i sat around on a saturday night and observed people. but there weren't much intersting poses to capture, so i stopped after half an hour.

i did this last night and some this afternoon.

Nice new stuff, the figures are very dynamic!

I understand how hard it can be to draw with pen though. Sometimes you just have to make initial sketches and accept that there will be extra pen marks in the final picture. Using pen is a very good way to learn accuracy though.

Hey, you're alive! Hadn't seen you in a while.

Something you might want to play around with is line weight, if the lines are thicker in the areas that go into shadow it'll really help the faces and heads blend into the darkness better.

yeah, work had been rushing in like crazy.
have another 3 websites to work on.
i will be re-doing that pic, i'm not very satisfied with out it turned out.

did this during the weekend. didn't really get my intended effect.
the theme is skin deep. part of a weekly series i'm doing together with a bunch of friends.

rough sketches done the past 2 weeks.

    1. new sketch.
    2. concept mascot design
    3. skin deep initial & final concept

    some freaky baby thing.

initial sketches for the 'you want happy? ' series, in order of conceptualisation. i have no idea how it went from skull face to smiling zombies. girl in the 2nd pic is early concept for above mentioned mascot design, also done for stress relief.

    Nice new stuff!

The top picture of the fox girl is quite good! Though her arm on the left is very thin. It seems like some of the other arms are too thin in some of the other pictures too. Sometimes drawing the arms and legs as cylinders and then adding the rest of the clothing and details helps it look more real.

hey cool stuff. Make sure you keep doing those gesture drawings and get some life drawing in there and you'll grow by leaps and bounds real fast. I really like the walk cycle you did with the little girl. Definitely has personality.

    Pretty nice!

On the new "you want happy?" picture I noticed you drag the pencil back and forth to shade, you may want to try to lift the pencil after each stroke, it helps make things smoother and more consistant.
