oki doki, another lurker.. (sure you've seen this intro a thousand times )
been following the boards on and off for a while now but yesterday for no reason at all i just felt an urge to start drawing again, havent drawn anything for a few years now due to general lack of motivation i spose, but anyway it felt good (even if it doensnt look it .. )
sort of appeared while watching tv..
given me a taste for more though, so i'll try and get some more going and see where it takes me

think i'll stick to pencil while getting back to things.

tatoo design facing creative difficulty. the only thing have so far is an inch across and he wants something to go from shoulder to shoulder >.<
cool monsters! post more.
moo..my scanner has died a death, had barely got started -.-
improvising with a digi cam (yes horrible horrible i know, but its the only way ive got to do it at the moment)
my daily doodle-
lost all the subtle shading i had on the left creature
not quite so bad
1am photographs *raises fist at scanner*
before you look at this i know its been quite heavilly overworked and some of the angles are off, but while i was doing it i really didnt care, which is wierd.. i used to rework things over and over till i had it the way i wanted, but had some music on and was enjoying following the pencil round the page ^^
could be worse :<
still doodling, just had some things come up so couldnt post yesterday
thx for the comments btw joe and bretton, will do, still enjoying scribbling at the moment although i feel some progression im not sure what, will get to some more focused pieces started at some point
random stuff, only ended up liking the little dragon head in the top corner...
mmm dragons, going to do some more soon.
started a dark bloke, not sure what direction to do with it yet, wanted to monster his arms ^^

setmonkey thankies for the comments and comparison , i looked up Mr Barlowe's site, bizarre stuff. i think your seeing slightly more 'ball sac/vagina' areas than the none i'd drawn ;D ..i'll have to get some in at some future point for ye
and todays scribbling~
camera didnt like this one, seemed to record an alpha layer for some odd reason which picked up my music player and showed it through the image when moving it about on the moniter :o think i'll leave the white on black ones alone...
underarms on this bod were where i wanted them, they come from an odd shoulder joint that goes around the side.. they look kind out of place now xD
(camera robbed all the shading and texture from the image :'( /mourn )
need to do some life work soon i guess, figure studies and the like.. still just randomly doodling at the moment ^^
just had my first encounter with photoshop colouring, going to look into it some more
righto, missed a couple of days posting due to net being a bit moo. still doodling though.
quicky that never took off
ended up as roughly what i was aiming for, will redo the image when ive had some more praccy (hands need to be generically bigger across the board and some angles are off )
some doodles for an rpg will be running soon..fleshcraft 8)
http://www.bloodworkz.co.uk/mon/sk11a.jpg <-- I'd say for a first PS coloring product its really good. Even the unerased colors around his body added to the motion in the pic and adds a lot. You like monsters a lot judging from your work, have you tried joining Cow? Keep it up, dude! I'd say do figure drawing as well to add to your range. Peace
hey Lukavi thanks for the reply!, im big fan of the way you keep the linework in your colour images, means alot to see you posting here
ive been meaning to do some figure studies for a while, although not keen on drawing from photos im lacking an alternate source so i think i'll have to bite the bullet and go for it
just found the cow entries the other day a whole new part of the forum i was unaware of xD lots of inspirational imagery thier.
been a bit busy with things over the last couple of days so only a couple of doodles (which my camera has eatten the detail of, apologies for the poor image quality ;()
and a page of mini monsters for the fleshy rpg thing. ^^
righto, had a bash at a couple of figure studies last night from some photo references (moo... photos) was kinda weird as we only had these huge fat guys to draw all through college and uni, anyway, i know thiers loads of problems with them but it'll pass for openners.
the last 2 monsters are scary...
Fozzybar! monster concept machine ;D, cheers for stopping by. are they really that bad? would always appreciate some crits
anywoo, todays photo reference stuff.
1st one i was awake for, was half asleep after yoga on the second (thiers some spacing issues ) ..and my mind had started to wander when i got to the third :o
might have to put a nudity warning somewhere if i carry on i think, will look into it later
want have another play with some color work, just trying to find some time to fit in everything at once!
doodle.. no ref.. they were not sposed to be muscles when i started ;(
and then some coloured butchery of that image..
well, actually no crits....only a suggestion...i think youre artwork and style needs a thinner pencil to come to a better presentation...Originally Posted by MonnyFozzybar! monster concept machine ;D, cheers for stopping by. are they really that bad? would always appreciate some crits
I have the feeling there is potential in your art, but it's weakened by the tool you are using.
Keep em coming!
It's great that you're drawing again, everything looks very cool and grotesque. Awesome sketches.
Es gibt immer etwas.
Fozzybar thankies for the feedback! , ive left off the heavier lines in the last few sketches (posted bellow)was this similer to what you had in mind? was lining in beforehand as my camera hates picking up detail (see the serpent thingy, all the symbols have blurred into blocks ,
LukeTores cheers for stopping by
and the sketches.
still quite a way off where i aim to be, C+C welcome! more stuff soon
i am not sure, but i was referring to this image:Originally Posted by Monnyive left off the heavier lines in the last few sketches (posted bellow)was this similer to what you had in mind? was lining in beforehand as my camera hates picking up detail (see the serpent thingy, all the symbols have blurred into blocks
i can see there nice hatching, but the line thickness seems to thick for this technique, so i would like to see you doing this with a thinner pencil, but maybe it's your scanner...
just sharpen one of them:
your pencil or your scanner
sk4 was just a quick lil doodle, think i put more time into the floor under him than into him ;( my camera really hates detail though, tried to get some back in photoshop but not having much luck, need find some money to fix or replace my scanner
picture from a reeeeally old photo for a mothers day pressie
meh, full of errors
and some sketchbook random stuff
wow realy inspirational work, i realy dig them, like this one :sk29, kep up with the good work. cheers
My guarding angel is a double agent !!
