Thanks for everyone support, i think i kinda have a set path:

Fuck it all, meaning, ill passively grind my work while completing personal projects instead of aiming and targeting for specific industries. Most of the times, the industry has got me jaded in many ways and i feel like i can direct this haze into productive material while attempting to inform people on certain issues while at the same time working and completing personal projects. Its just a rush to blurt out everything in my mind before its too late while learning new tricks from life's sights and such - Anyhow, check it out:

Looking great! Would love to see more life-drawing et.c from you, but your cartoons are developing really, really well! - and I love the game-tester one, so true... although there are sometimes clown suits. Fact.

Thanks AllyAlbon and White Camel, wish i had more time and funds to get to model sessions but im sure it'll all work out after the montreal convention seasons. Till then the streets and metros are full of models.

Here's a compilation of the work i did for Slang studio before the project got can and the studio supposedly shut down (Still seem up on linked-in).

Ive been busy with local political topics, it was a good experience and forced me to try and caricature politicians in certain ways.

    And then more convention commissions:

    Current updates :

Will start to focus on priority asset work since the QA thing is starting to grind my gears more than ever.

Giving appreciation to followers of my current webcomic by doing sketches of them or their characters for the whole month (1-2 a week):

Working on a quick experimentation, possibly going for a full pencil rendering then splashing digital colors t

Done with the commission aaaaaand commissioner gives no responses - Happens, will ask half payment before sending the final low rez thumbnails

Revisiting some notes taken during an a lack of sleep period, old but still gave me some insights on a few things.

Ill see if i can finish scanning and compiling my sketchbook's life drawing pages while working faster on the prototype assets.

Quite a first, but this one client is asking for a 20 character sketch piece, no choice but to blend them all as a shaped mass instead of emphasizing on each character duels. So far, this second draft has me trying to give each character a dynamic pose while following a middle "S curve". Gonna lightbox it for a third draft, lets see how far it can be pushed.

Lots of new work in here. I am seeing a definite style coming from this work. All of it seems to be on animation paper. Are you in a studio? Your construction is solid, perhaps you could expand your character palette.

    Yo its been a while,
Im constantly working on the Ingram Bond Pro paper ordered from Cartoon supplies, the smoothness fits my rough sketching needs, still havent entered a studio im just starting to build an animation profile since -[Insert long soul searching monologue] -Yet time to see if i can build a prototype to get some sprite work going.

Now its up for another character pose rush, tad bit difficult to follow the model sheet but it'll get easier the more i do it.

Progress on the current WIP commission : Redrawn to push the whole composition into the

And as an interesting turn of even, the same commissioner wants a second 20 char splash but with the officially announced rivalries affecting the composition. Another composition mass-madness but worth it.

Still trimming down on those poses and commissions

Near final version of the big-ass commission

Same commissioner asked for a second full scale 20 character piece - now with the actual matchups as provided by Sony.

    Came across an interesting experience.

Generally when i tackle digital drawings, i tend to take a stiff step by step approach starting with flats then shading and lighting.

But what i "think" works instead of what i "Feel" works.

I tend to take tutorials way too "literally" instead of just seeing the concept and then exploring out of the starting steps. So thats something ill work on as studying goes.

Oh and final Batttle royal commissions

Main issue i have on this experiments is forgetting to draw it all on bristol instead of animation paper for longer lasting value and possibly bigger canvas. Also trying to add textures to my lines as time goes. Ill see if i can post a recent life drawing compilation.

I am enjoying all the new work here. It seems to hover in between Disney and anime. My favorite new one are the un-assuming mustached hipsters in the previous update. It's all very clean! You might try a cruder style at times. Happy sketching!

    Short list :

    -New tablet pc acquired
    -Prepared prints for a convention
-Tablet drivers finally started working with a recent update
    -Setting up a parody animation

    Things i noticed:
    - Blending pencil rendering with digital coloring is more complex than simply dropping the sketch in a multiply layer with the channel trick.
    - Inking in general makes a cleaner combination with the digital coloring.
    - leading the eye with shading and volume can help alot.
    - I work better when working faster: Less time to halt and think too deeply about certain moves, less restraint, gotta push the halting session after a good hour of working on the piece.

Will try and take time to do scans from the sketchbook soon.

    Im not dead, just barely.

Meaning, im drying up - game testing is slowly rotting my brain.

But ive found something, just run with my crazy words for a bit.

The canvas feels more like a window to what i attempt to picture/draw. Im trying to see more, in my mind, from thumbnails then into the big pic. The studies are slowly blending, slowly making sense, it just feels its charm, it all kinda makes sense now.
Its just just about drafting but also about feeling and understanding how things work, how it looks, how it'dd feel if you know what i mean.
I can rarely tap into that way of thinking due to rarely having free time to myself (roommate, chats, youtube schedule.) but i can at least help strengthen by doing more drawings from the mind and life - Push the attempt to see the window while at the same time pushing the understanding of fabric, light, material, environment etc.

It feels easier to do thinking in 3d but i can see glimpses of it working in 2d (in my brain - always referring to Glen Keane's reaction to a few student's designs "How does it feel? Can it move? How does it act?"
Its hard not to get tied up in the technical aspect but once it flows, everything falls in place and there is only me, the character and the scene.

God i wish i had more time to tap into this
