haven't really posted much on CA, but i just bought a scanner so the sketchbook section seemed as good as any to start with. i'll try to keep up on this as best i can - but the larger stuff that won't fit on the scanner will have to wait...
the majority of these are from a MICA alumni studio night that i started going to again.
let me know what you think.
Great line work. I think in some places you should maybe refrain from giving your darker areas an outline and just let the tonal values do the work. Look forward to more stuff.
Oh yeah , seems that we have another badass sketchbook aver here. Amazing lines. More updates please
here's a few more from the life drawing studio that i've been going to - mostly contour/lineart.
thanks for checking out my sketchbook guys:
gloom - thanks for the kind words. i'll try to keep on posting...
knowledge - you're right, i was a little heavy handed with some of the blocking in of the shadows. let me know if the rendered one in this batch is a little better.
i see another 5 star sketchthread....
here's some more stuff (if kemp tells you to post more crap, you'd better do it, right?). again, mostly contours with a little shading thrown in.
steak - thanks for the kind words. hearing from you is a big motivator...
katsgod - appreciate it!
denart - heh. not sure if i deserve 5 stars, but thanks man.

nice pencils man. like both the line version and the more rendered out ones. would love to see what you would do with some other mediums (chalk, ink).
keep it up man.

archipelago - more faces are in the works. i've actually been doing some self-portraits. i'll throw em up here soon. thanks for the compliments.
ran across this as i was cleaning up...

It's been quite a long time. I've been bitten by the portraiture bug and this was the first to share...my muse and love, Natalie. This is the first of many - please let me know what you think and areas that I can improve in. Thanks!
