Yeah dude- Eff Michaels. 'Course, the design thing can get old too. I'm looking for free lance web to put even a little more extra in my pocket. The regular graphic design gig leaves me fine paycheck to paycheck, with some pocket money leftover that I quickly drink away usually. Anyway:

The Vick Mackey is cool- funny because I was about to do some drawings from the Shield before you posted that. I just watched season 4. Lots' of cool stuff in this last post. Glad to see you are the popular here, look at you already with two pages of posts!

Gimme some more! Gimme gimme gimme your drawings after midnight!

I love your stuff. The style reminds me a little of Drew Friedman. That's a good thing!

The fact this thread is only 4 stars is physically sickening. Top notch.

Aight, quick update to get some pictures on this new fangled page.

Joooee- Hot indeed, that hyena in back just looks so haaappy...
katsgod- Thanks, I do need to start working in something other than pen again. Soon soon.
sith- Thanks man, yeah, pugs have always creeped me the hell out...
masterpug- except for masterpug of course. Thanks man, nah, not much published yet. Though 3x3 should have an illustration annual on stands at Barnes and Nobles that has a painting I did last year in it.
    Darktwin- Thanks man, I will.
ArcoNL- Thanks, yeah I should draw more animals too. The cool thing about animals is that we have less preconceived notions about what they look like than humans. When I'm drawing an animal I'm not just thinking "oh, this is what a nose looks like, a nose goes here...", I'm more so just responding to what I'm seeing.
    OleOlsen- Thanka!
amarryth- Glad you found your way back. I'm usually working in, again this is kinda embarrassing, either ball point pen or microns. Just haven't found the time to invest in any really nice pen equipment. One a these days...
poise- Thank ye, glad you likey!
majinpunisher- Yeah, I think I'm gonna be unhappy at any job that takes me away from illustration, so I might as well just stick out at Michaels. The pay is comfortable. Just need to start getting some freelance work. Also, Sheild season 4 kicked ass. You need to start working in an Abba quote into every post you ever do.
Artguy- Thanks, I wasn't familiar with his work, quite a comliment. I do like some characiture-ish artists like Chris Payne, Philip Burke, and James Bennet, but most of em really aren't my thing. Thanks for stoppin in.
pennington- Thanks man. Yeah, was bummed about the Pratt. The funny thing was that the other peice that lady had framed was the lamest fine art peice of poo I'd ever seen. Diffr'nt strokes fer diffr'nt folks I guess.
istarith- What is it about that damn Thomas Dolby song? I've been in love with that song for as long as I can remember. Weird.
Asoir- Thanks fer the words man.

Hah, I had to frequently stop this drawing to air drum along with Fireball Ministry, makes drawing hard when there is beer and potent rock around.

Sweeet! That last drawing in the latest post is just great! (doesn't at all reflect what else was going on with you at the time... beer and potent rock do make the world go 'round, though) I love how simple, and comfortable it is. You really get the sense that these two have been together for awhile... Is it reffed, or out of your head? Good job, either way!

As for the rest... They're solid illustrations over all, I kinda' feel like the top page are a little too distorted, but that might be a matter of personal prefrence, or context. Have you considered shooting for the stock illustration market? I know you want to do editorial, but... I think there's money to be had elsewhere too, you know?

Anyway... I always enjoy checking your work out. Keep up the great work!
    Later.

these are nice pieces. i like the style of them. My only crit is in the last piece, the picture frames, the way they are angled looks like they are being lifted off the wall from the bottom, gives kinda of a haunted feel.
