    Computer Problems. (Keyboard?)

I am having some issues with my computer and, I was wondering if any of you might have experienced the same problems. While I am typing, a number of keys type in two characters. The one I intended to type, and another comletely different character. The added characters are consistent, for example when I mean to type "w" what comes out is "wx". I have run both ClamWin antivirus and AdAware, neither found anything.

Here is a copy of the text I just wrote WITHOUT going back and deleting all the unwanted characters:

I azjm hazvingb sojme issues wxith jmy cojm'puter aznd, I wxazs wxond, eringb if azny of you jmigbht hazve ewx'perienced, the sazmje 'progblejms WXhile I azjm ty'pingbd, az nujmgber of keys ty'pe in twxo chazrazcters[. The one I intend,ed, to ty'ped, aznd, aznother cojmletely d,ifferent chazrazcter[. The azd,d,ed, chazrazcters azre consistentd, for ewxazjm'ple wxhen I jmeazn to ty'pe "Pwx"P wxhazt cojmes out is "Pwx"P[. I hazve run gboth ClazjmWXin azntivirus aznd, AZd,AZwxazred, neither found, aznythingb[. \\

    Any insight would be appreciated.

I really have no idea. But could it be that some cables are damaged and they sendwrong information. Try using another keyboard on the same PC. Then you should know if th problem is your keyboard or the machine. Then try to find other things to change (if possible). IT could be anything, keyboard, motherboard, har disk, software.
It could be that your default keyboard language was changed and not the keyboard keys do not represent what is written on them but some other language.

maybe you just have really fat fingers?

try borrowing a friends keyboard or using an old one and see if it still happens

    try going to
Start | Control Panel | Regional and Language Options
and make sure the settings are correct for you

try doing a system files repair or something similar from your windows cd

could also be a virus called a keyboard bug. Try an antivirus program.

Just wanted to let you guys know you were right. Apparently when the cat knocked over a glass of water on the computer desk the other day, a lot of it ended up on the keyboard tray and I somehow didn't notice it. Still a little strange that it lasted a few days before going haywire on me.

At least it wasn't a virus of some sort.

Ha! My cat is notorious for dumping over any glass of water she can find. You would think I'd learn not to leave them around everywhere...

The other day there was a close call... I pulled an all-nighter to get my design project finished up and decided to take a short nap before class. Fortunately I decided to go ahead and put the sheets away because sure enough when I woke up, my water was all over the (wood) dining table thoroughly soaking all the leftover papers including a lot of black construction paper that bled all over the place leaving a nice inky splotch on one of the cloth place settings I have out. I was pissed.

If you have computer problems, I feel bad for you, son.
    I've got 99 problems, but a glitch ain't one.
