    2D artist magazine

Did a quick search but didn't find it mentioned elsewhere, so here ye go.

A digital artist mag specifically about concept art, digital & matte painting saw the light this month. You can download a 'lite issue' for free and buy the full thing for 4 usd. It features interviews, tutorials, etc, this week a tut by our resident c.o.w. master mr Dixon.

Looks interesting enough. Check it out here.

EDIT- WOW! That magazine is incredible, for £2 it's a freakin bargain. Gotta buy it, some of the tuts look damn good.

Yeah I bought it. Wasn't too bad. Had some pretty cool walkthroughs. Wasn't too impressed with the interior rendering. Thought the sky tutorials were ok. Defo worth just £2.

Awesome, I just bought it. I had some little funds in a paypal account from some freelance stuff, but turns out I can't do much with them because I can't withdraw the funds physically in Argentina. But they did come in handy for buying this magazine

I'm reading the Marc Simonetti interview right now, can't wait to get to the tutorials and the "making of" by Matt Dixon.

Is it a typo on their cover or is this really the January 2005 issue?

Thanks! I've been looking for something exactly like this. I wish it was printed though.

Does anyone know of any other magazines on this topic or where I might look for similiar periodicals? Thanks!

Different mag. This one's paper only. I don't know how easy it'll be to track down outside the UK, though.

Bought Imagine FX today. Feels better when the stuff is in your hands. I'd recommend peeps hunting it down. I did like your walkthrough in the 2dartist mag Matt.
I'm liking both mags right now. Ive been waiting and hoping for a conceptart mag, and two come along at once.

I saw this in my local WHSmiths and almost picked it up, but £6 is a lot for a mag. Wish I had picked it up now though .

I just got the July 2007 back issue and page 123 appears just a blank white page. Is it meant to be that way or is it an error?

Also february issue of 2007 has a link right on the second page on the "free resources" logos that links to a file but I cannot download it, why is that?

anyone help me confirm if the error is in your copy too?

You're only embarrassing yourself, son. Did you not notice Valiance had resurrected a thread from 2006? All that discussion goes back to when IFX and 2D Artist had just been released and well before the challenge began.

There was no need for your reply to have such a dismissive tone. Just adding the word 'respectfully' to your post doesn't prevent a statement from being disrespectful.

    Watch.

Broken Feb 07 link is because:

"Sorry this page no longer exists on our server or has been moved"

July 07, pg 123 is the cover page for the tutorial.

If you bought other issues and have similar problems just contact the publisher.
