    Good Hosting plan?

Anyone out there have a good webhost they like? I have had huge problems with mine over the last week and half and they either can't resolve it or haven't really tried. I am bouncing emails, so if anyone has emailed, sorry about that.

Anyways, a good hosting plan for my website, I think I am going to have to move soon. Recommendations?

One of my clients, a small ad agency recommends lunarpages.com to all his clients. To my knowledge, none of his clients has ever reported a complaint about them. A techno-geek friend of ours has also suggested mediatemple.net.

I use Dreamhost (www.dreamhost.com), and it's been awesome... 10 bucks a month, they've quadrupled my storage and bandwidth since I've started a few years ago- for the same price. Cool server-side stuff, weblogs, galleries, etc. Lots of tech support and people that are willing to help and not jerks about it.

I just went through some issues and switched to freeservers.com

in addition to being a sweet deal (25 gigs bandwidth for $2 a month), what I really dig about them is that they have a 24 hour 800 number for tech support and the people are really helpful. Coming off a server and registry that would only let you "file a trouble ticket" and wait for somebody to give a shit, that's huge to me.

I use Hostgator (http://www.hostgator.com). I'm not Johnny Web or anything, but when I have had issues, they fire emails back and forth with me and really get shit done. They also have an open forum for new customers to browse through and ask questions before signing up. Fair prices to boot.

Thanks guys! I definately appreciate the input and suggestions. It has been a nightmare not knowing if my site is going to be up or if email is going to get through. I found a site (http://www.webhostingjury.com/) that rated webhosts and HostGator, LunarPages and DreamHost all came highly recommended. I will have to do a little more research, but it looks like I could go with just about all of the hosts you guys posted in this thread. Thanks again, you have been very helpful.

Funny thing Figure2....my techo-geek friend also suggested Mediatemple to me (not just once).

I'm using Mediatemple right now and there are no complaints. Uploads and downloads are problem free and there hasn't been a day where my stuff wouldn't load. Although it may be a little expensive when compared to some of the deals out there. I got the 2GB package with 30GB bandwidth. From the FAQ, I believe each account can hold a few domain names too. Of course you gotta pay for them.

Apparently there's a 10% discount when you apply to MEdiatemple......unfortunately I found out only AFTER I signed up for my account. Check HERE for more details.

If you need 2nd opinions, try HERE for other deals out there. It pays to shop around a little.
