Hey Fozzy... uh... mine wasn't finished, so I'm not sure why it's in the voting round... yeah.

Anyways, I voted for Tully. I just think it is a really fun well thought out concept. I love it.
Some of the others such as Redehlert and Jakkas were nice as well.

    Hey MikeC -
Thanks! I guess to better explain, the growing of it's tail serves as its own food source. I was being a bit abstract but I had it in mind. Voting has a looong way to go, but I seriously appreciate the 'gallery' comment. Actually, I'm floored!

Again, thanks to all that have either voted for this piece or gave it a nod!

    Cheers,
    Dave

Man it took me so much contemplating and such, I had to choose between redehlert and Vegas Mike, I ended up going with Vegas Mike, but I was then surprised and happy to see redehlert ends up with having the most votes so far... so I guess everyone is happy? I have a little list of my runner's up. Redehlert isn't on it. Because he is like in prime first place or something. It is like first place but on a different dimension where I can vote for two.
Jakkas, noche, chuck, mate, br0ken spirit, jonoy, mikecorriero, you guys kicked ass in this one. Alright I am out. Getting less and less time as the semester nears the midterm

JakkaS got my vote, it's just a wondeful image, great rendering. I like the turtle face and the flowing hair and the sheep, oops I mean s'peehs add an eerie feel to the scene.
    Runners-up:
Broken Spirit: I just love this illustration, those eyes are great.
VegasMike: Again, a great illustration and a bit disgusting, too.

I voted for silentkitty. I thought the monochromatic palette worked really well for the piece, and I liked the glowy effect. Also, I can believe it would actually work in an ecosystem somewhere, which isn't true of some other entries.

I also quite liked the piece by jakkas, but somehow it just didn't click with me the same way. Finally, I was seriously tempted to vote for the cactopus put forth by Plate. I'm a fan of both cacti and octopi, and you melded them together perfectly. It just didn't feel like it fit the theme as well as silentkitty's, or I'd have voted for it. Awesome design, though.

    Cheers noche, much appreciated.

Thanks for the votes, artiphat and silentkitty. I think I'll have to go back into the piece and really make it folio-worthy. I haven't been digitally rendering all that long (bit under a year) so it's hard to go up against the masters, but thanks for the support!

Hmmmm, maybe someday. Now I don’t have any method of work. Just start to paint and.....after few hours its done. But always its a different method. Hehehe. I work in complete chaos.

Thanks for other votes and crits!

thanks for the comments and votes people.
this round was purely for the heck of it for me.
i wasn`t getting much sleep and i just wrote (for those who found it funny..) in the description whatever came to mind.
jakkas - we all work in chaos. just create any kind of tutorial. even a WIP with no text will suffice.

redehlert - glad i could be of service. about the text - it`s nothing in particular, just the whole creature that eat itself, and god playing a part there...needs more
    clarifying.

    GreenThumbArt - much appreciated.

fozzy - "play with your teddies you sissy..."
    you crazy crazy man...
i nearly soiled myself there. we need more people like you in our governments, dude.
We all pay for life with death, so everything in between should be free.
