    Heya Fran!
I love where you're taking this thread, lot's of creativity, ideas..
But try to do some studies too.. Watch out how you colour your sketches. On the girl for example, the pink hair is great, but her skin looks a little bit dull next to the hair.
Try to do some pieces in full colour too

    lots of love
    Marleen

Great stuff fran, really striking. Nice silhuette and design on the sleeves too.
Readability is a bit off though, maybe more pattern up the sleeves? not sure.

that right eye is a bit off, in my eye's. but a nice try.
just try it again, i am sjure it will be better, because you will see your previous mistake's. not that this isn't good. > really like how you managed the hair...

and by the way. your hair in real life looks awesome!

The last SP you posted is a huuuge improvement to some of your earlier ones. The forms are reading well - just make sure you don't touch the face up much more because you have the tendancy to over-work your sketches sometimes.
    Yay, hair~ ^.^

    Keep on rockin'

Oma is right here, one of the key things to learn in art is not to be precious, if it's the best eye you've drawn, but it's off, re-draw it, you know you can do it because you just did. Just wanted to echo that point. I've scrapped entire paintings cause they were a bit off. Also from that you'll find later that scanning and blowing up thumbnails is often more efficient than re-drawing them bigger, because they loose the energy.

But yes, the new SP is a big improvement my lovely.

Hello Fran, congrats on the 4 stars! The chameleon in the last one looks great, nicely styled too. The eyes on the face are too big but you were obviously going for that wide-eyed look so good job.

    Wow, great sketchbook!

I love the variety of subject matter and mediums.
Personally I love the inks. I'm biased for inks.

Definitly keep posting. You are making tons of progress.

Keep it fun, that's the best way to improve.

Those inks are just bloody awsome. (excuse my language)

oma- yeah i guess thats true, but atm, id rather just learn from my mistakes, which i feel i will do for next time, rather than redraw the whole thing, ill just draw something different i think
    naomi -thanks =]
Lady Josh- Chaars, same as what i said to oma though, it would be a good exercise, but as i dont have that much time as it is, i think ill just take those mistakes into account on my next sketch
n1va- thanks- yeah i have big eyes hehe, i probably drew them too big though hehe
    Lee- Thanks =]
    Q-Caddlewick- Thanks a lot

aaand heres the same sketch with those adjustments, its probably still a bit off, but ill leave it for now- its still a bit scary looking hehe

ill do a different one now

I think moving the highlights in the eyes away from the center would make it look more interesting. Also, the left eye looks a bit too high.

I agree that the highlight in the hair is perfect. Don't mess with that anymore.

The centered highlight is what makes it creepy looking I think.

I would soften the shadows under the eyes a bit.

Lee + Q-Caddlewick- thanks for the comment =] yeah your both right the highlights and shape and positions for the eyes are wrong, ill try to get them better next time

Small update, nothing much, ill draw tomorrow though- day off
the face is wrong, but i didnt use a pencil or anything just went straight in so in that respect it was a good exercise

that looks pretty good though the highlights in the eyes should be move off-center, errr, away from the center of the iris I should say

sorry its a bit crappy! retarded legs and skinny arm, i was lazy so she has one arm and one eye haha, the pencil just felt really weird like it was really blunt or something and just smudged, and made rendering look horrible. its generally just crappy i think lol but ill post it anyway, lets just hope my next update is more decent!
oh btw, shes not falling over, i just scanned it wonky lol

    particularly random character design lol

    C+C welcome

edit: lol i just noticed that she only has one set of laces! oops, all these bits n bobs ill change/edit tomorrow then repost with something else hopefully

Um you asked for a task so i would have to say more life studies whether it be pencil still lifes or whatever, and make it a sustained piece a few hours minimum. Push yourself.
