Did this a couple months back.....fake poster of a fake movie
thanks for lookin'
Layout looks great, though I think it could be ALOT more clean. THough it's a "Style", movies typically like going for the more realistic look, so I'd tighten it up a bit.
very cool piece the faces are really well done, and I like that you put the little light explosion below them like that, gives a nice movie poster feel. I do agree with Pixeldragoon, though; cleaning it up would help the poster feel even more. very nice job, makes me wonder what the movie would be about
I really like this poster. I feel it's a nice break from the 'traditional' movie posters we've come to expect, and a deviation from the well developed character collage (struzan). It's nice and direct, but still has a subtle softness that I don't take for roughness. I especially love the warm/cool contrast you've used, makes me really focus on the faces even though the light flaring is so bright in comparison.
One thing that bothers me is the right hand characters eyes don't seem to point in the same direction; if she's looking at the left most character, I think that HER right (our left) eye is looking too far to our left.
I'd watch this movie
i think i have some of the sketches i did for it back then....let me see...ah here they are.....
Hey, i like it, pretty loose, but... well like it anyway
Everything not lost.
I think you could fix the men running from what seems to be an explotion, I didn't realize there were people until I saw your sketches. Really like the two faces though, and the colors are awesome!
I really like it, looks great
Nár lagaí Dia do lámh!
I think this works really well - the way that the character on the right is looking at the foreground character is something you dont see very often in movie posters and it immediately gives some idea of a link between them as part of the storyline - there's a nice feeling of depth in this piece too with the angle and perspective - i personally dont have a problem with the more obviously painted look for a movie poster - there's an official poster for "Leon: The Professional" which is mostly painted with some photography at the bottom that works very well - again this is also a rare example in which characters are acknowledging (sp? :p) anothers presence within the poster
finally i also like the way that this poster is very good at getting across the characteristics of a sci-fi movie - you are going to know what to expect in some way of the setting even if this is the first you have seen or heard of the film
good job man
