    Coming along nicely, penciler!

Watch those porportions on the referenced stuff. Angelina's ear, nose and hand are a tad too small. Nice rendering though. And yay for life drawing, keep it up!

thank you everyone for taking the time to critique my work. I have so much yet to learn and you all have been very helpfull. I have been drawing alot lately i just haven't had the time or energy left to scan stuff in and post. Alas, nearly three weeks have gone by but here i will dump some stuffs for you all to look at. I am going to try and get a schedule going for posting but it definatley won't be everyday, sorry.
Tis first bit of stuff is just leg studies. I was doing something that i noticed Boogie mention which was drawing quicker studies.

    ...and more

    and some from Hogarth

On this next sketchbook page the guy on the left is from a comic called Wanted and the one on the bottom right is from Thor the others are made up.

i can't explain this next one. It's completely from my head and i was working as a desk clerk.

Interesting thread you got going on here. I like your cartoons the most. I also noticed that the life drawing and Loomis studies are paying off. Keep on going.

Some good improvement. Be mindful of your quality - line and value. Strive for beautiful, pictorial application.

Leg sketches look great. Sometimes the rhythm and energy of a pose is best captured in quick sketches, which is the case here. Your legs are looking a little straight though, there should be more or an S curve: front to back, inward to outward.

I clicked the animation seems to be working fine, it was pretty cool actually, just need to loosen his walking up a bit more, he seems a little stiff.

Haha nice animation. The part when he turned around and get sniffed could use some work but the fleeing with the quickness part looks pretty good.
What recursive is saying is that you have the same line weight all through out. You should have heavier lines away from the light and thinner lines when it's closer to the light source. Jim Lee sometimes take it to the extreme and have his lines totally dissappear in some area.

Good job on the painting. From the boobs it looks like she's decending really quickly or ascended really quickly then stop. The flesh tone looks raelly good but it doesn't quite fit with the environment. I think it's because the colors aren't saturated enough and there are no clear reflection lighting from the water. One thing that bothers me is that the trees are rendered with a repeated pattern therefore looking unnatural.

Nice character. Careful how you draw the glasses though. They look painted on right now and should be resting more on the nose.

First tho, i should post some stuffs cuz its been a while.
Some life drawings, each one about 15 min.

This next one started out as an ab study then i got bored and started changing things.

Then of course some of my favorite subject

Looking pretty good, Penciller. Those are my fav subjects too.

I would say for the life drawings, you should loosen up more. Try holding the pencil/charcoal still in your hand and move your arm instead of your wrist. Mentler said at the last session that it's better to have nice, loose, and energetic lines in the wrong place rather than stiff lines in the right place. cheers!

Looking good, man. Her eyes are too symmetrical right now though. They should be turned so the outer corner is lower than the inner. Other than that, it's sweet! I like the rendering on the horns.

The last one is looking great. Nice rendering as well. Keep on constructing your figures: use the Loomis mannequin, keep on comparing proportions relative to eachother. E.g. the sitting guy (post 348): compare the size of his feet to his head.
    Keep on working.

Master: thanks, i appreciate the bit on the eyes.
    Newbs: will do
Bartovan: righto, thanks. got rushed on that one cuz he moved but i definately understand what your saying.

I've been busy working on a much longer animation, so far i have 192 drawings for it. I've got some stuff to show but i haven't scanned it yet. in the mean time here is a quick comic page i did for a friend.

The last piece in 348 is good, lips are a bit too hard though. You should avoid hard lines on women's faces. The girl with the horns is also really good, you should render things like this a bit more.

I esp like the girl on the bar in 322.

You're obviously working on improving your anatomy so I don't want to be nitpicky.

tekdj-thanks, i figure the more diversified my skills the better chance i have of finding a job that will pay for all these school loans. Then i can start focusing in on specialising.
    OBX-thanks bro, you too.
n1va-yes thank you. it's funny i rarely render and the moment i do everyone says "Do more of that!!" I'll do my best.

Here is some stuff i did while at a seminar in Anehiem,CA. I've never done characatures before and then out of the blue i cranked these out and everyone loved em. Another nick in the diversity belt i guess but in any case i had fun and thats what matters most to me right now.

I like your stuff so far. I think the one thing you need is consistency...well...I need that too, so this is a bit of a pot-kettle thing, but I guess I can still say it.

I like some of your drawings on page 5, the women and you had some baby drawings that were nicely done (which is a difficult thing to do).

    Good job, keep it up!
