Use bigger, softer, less opaque brushes, and move in as complete strokes as possible. This shows good potential already! Keep it up!

I can see you tried to use lines. Try not to, but if you must, there is a small rectangle In the layer window that says "Normal" with an arrow near it. Click it, and find the option that says mulitply. Click that, and put a new layer UNDERNEATH the lines. Then paint on that layer (Below the lines.) Multiply makes anything white transparent(But it still looks white) and anything Black solid. Good luck

    A great start Yoshi!

Might I suggest you compliment your photoshop work with pencil drawings as well? I've found it's assisted me greatly.

Why do you keep making new sketch books? You all ready have 3 other ones... Okie, you must of seen this book a million times www.saveloomis.org now go study it! Try to observe every thing around you! See how it works and why light effects it the way it does! Now put those thoughts on paper, and draw every thing you see... You need to have the basic knowledge of form, shape, anatomy, prespetive, lighting, and proportions to be able to put togeather a drawing of a human or a square! Learn to draw spheres, draw lots of circles. Circles from different angles, with different lighting draw circles in prespective and out of prespective see the difference! Learn to draw a circle.... Once you got that down move onto more complex objects penicls. pens, boxes, apples, pears, lights etc.... Now go draw some thign with paper and lets seee...
