on the last pic, on the girl, I don't think the spine can bend that much. The rib cage and pelvis chould never be at a right angle.

The Be Myself Project. What I'm going to try and do with this is basically just draw w/e i want, not try to draw like someone else. [That doesn't mean i won't do master copies etc.] Going to stop worrying about whether it looks cool or not. Just back to the basics. I'm going to do this for 30 days. If i happen to miss a day (i'll be going to Montreal, not for the work shop though.) please remind me and i'll post all the work up on the next day).

Hey there. Being yourself is good and all. But right now i think you should focus a little more on anatomy studies. All your legs are terribly short compared to the rest of the bodies, to name one thing. Study over and over again anatomy, say out loud the proportion rules as you draw them out.

So, more anatomy studies! And keep going!

what's your goal for doing these? you should try to tackle some anatomy problems as you go a long so you can get something out of it. Being yourself is always good but if you just keep drawing and you understand how to compose an illustration, your voice will always show through. That's why if you go to painting schools, you'll learn how to paint for 3 years before they teach you how to express yourself.

very nice, i like ur last update. shorten the torso a bit, its kindof a consisten problem. next time u draw one, make it intensionally shorter, i mean like really short, midgit waist. drawing then that way will conter ur tendancies.
