your understanding of anatomy is growing and it shows!! You should feel good about that. Remember that its okay to have an underdrawing. If you look at some of the old masters you can see the foundation blocks ( or cylinders) under thier drawings. Understanding how to do this combined with an understanding of anatomy will allow you to put characters in any pose you want with little or no reference. That is the goal. To be able to draw without the ref if you need to. Sorry i haven't been responding much. I've been up to my eyeballs storyboarding a horror movie. I'll be able to post some selected scenes soon. Keep up the good work!

Oki, since it's scanned, why not crop and center in nicely on some more white background to give yourself room to work? There are a couple of things you might want to consider... one, kill the white background entirely, just wash it all in some tone, that skin orange would work. Two, don't work about the COLOR, think about the value, that it, how bright things are. Any color will work, but the value has got to be laid in to express your light source, which it isn't, since her globes are showing a light from the upper right, but her extended are is showing a light from the middle left.

oki, your lines are looking okay, now it's time to learn how to render tone to suppliment your lines. get values to describe form. push your darks and leave your white for where you really need it.

remember even white people aren't *white*

Nice stuff, watch the placement of the hips though, especially the first woman with the sword, her loincloth is a bit low and the legs are pushed forward a bit to much. The color sketch is a bit muddy and undefined and the skin tones are a bit bland, don't be afraid to mix in some more colors to get some contrast :]

Wow lots of improvement just looking from the top of this page to what you've done recently. Your line quality has really improved. Drawing from life has really helped your rendering also. Keep it up man, very inspiring.

I agree your line quality has definatly improved. Perhaps consider drawing with ballpoint pen or a medium that doesn't allow you to heavy/beef up your lines as much as pencil does. I think this might help you increase your line quality even further, maybe ask around cause I could be wrong.

But I just got to say your work definaltely has some amazing potential especially in the female department. Chuck a female into the shirt on this page and youll have no complaints from me (from an artistic point of view of course).
