    Bottles' Sketchbook

Hello, my name is Bottles! I haven't drawn at all in the past 4 years but started up again a week or so ago. I like to explore semi-realism and cartoon, and draw fanart and original characters. My current objectives are improving my color theory, gestures, and overall dynamics of my drawings. With that, let's get started! ☆=(ゝω・)/

Good start, I would say work with bigger brushes then move smaller and smaller as your mark making is bit messy, if you turn it to black and white layer you will see it could use bit more separation of light and shadow so why not do still life (from life) with one light source and study how light and shadow works by working with black and white preferable with pencil.

@stonec thanks for the video! I watched it and a couple others by Proko. It's super helpful

To practice my shading, I decided to start a realism portrait. I've actually never done any sort of realism drawing in my life, so this is my first try. It's a WIP right now, gonna add more depth/layers to it soon.

Nice Marilyn portrait up there. Watch out for values, though. It looks a bit "washed".

About resizing, I don't think you can do that directly here. You need to resize them before posting here.

MSPaint can help with that. Or maybe some online image editor, like, for example.
    Is this a sketchbook? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
