Yeah, the colors in the glass are quite vibrant and enjoyable. Re-work the shadow to have the light reflecting through the glass, liquid and ice to create a nice caustic look.

The skin tone on your bikini girl is pretty nice, but would be far better served if the figure was more convincing. The head seems strange, the neck looks a tad long, and the figure in general seems quite skinny and lengthy.

    Keep at it man.

You have a good sense of color, work on your anatomy more (dont we all) and try exploring in some more rendering techniqes. I notice alot of your work looks soft n fuzzy. Try using some harder edged brushes and see how that works for ya. Keep up the good work.

BTW- That flamthrower guy rocks, were can i buy one /with jetpack ?

I see you are trying different styles.
I would suggest you first do some anatomy studies and practice from reference. You will learn a lot from it.

nice work in this thread o yrs...
    i like
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...bra3_mcgee.jpg & http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...nipe_mcgee.jpg a great deal... would like too see some more finished pieces from you! in the last batch of figurative drawings, the oversaturated colors on the figures might be just a little bit distracting, although this one http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...e/oct28_03.jpg is really quite nice.

keep up the good work. I enjoy seeing these kinds of expirements

this is looking really cool and imaginative, but, i might add that the pose of the kid and the mom doesn't really vibe with being scared for their lives.... nice, cool, city-scape. -joel

    Hi Cok3! Whassup?!

Those ladies aren't quiet naked. Around their hips are juice packs, meals-ready-to-eat packs, chewing gum, etc. Survival gear in case they crash land or something

The project I mentioned involves a helicopter too but of a different kind that the one above. Simple composition really with flat application of colors (how I plan to do it anyway, might veer into something else though). If I get something like what I have in mind I'll post it in the Finished Section and maybe throw the lineart here.

Re: figure drawings. I've got new ones actually but my camera's busted so I don't know when I can post those.

The way you paint is too "simple" like an amature. However, I see the quality and potenial in the still life of that glass you painted. That piece stands out a lot. I think this is because you painted loose. Work hard.

I like the way you are colorizing the pictures, but your human characters don't look like human. They got some wierd limbs and and wieeerd faces. You should try not to emphase too much on the colorizing but instead on drawing them as to look real. Good luck!

Flip: One thing I would suggest after checking out your thread here would be to focus on doing studies of anatamy to help out your figure work more. I notice you enjoy doing figure work as there is not much here without human(oids) featured in the piece, but the anatomy isn't all there (proportions, etc).

I can tell you very much enjoy vibrant colours, but for at least an hour a day (or as often as you can) I would suggest using only pen or pencil on paper (or PS if you have to go digital) and study all forms of anatomy -- hands, eyes, feet, torsos, legs.

Once you are able to better render humans more realistically it will only add that much more to your otherwise imaginative and colourful pieces.

    Best of luck!

anatomy studies, anatomy studies, anatomy studies. You got some good compositions in some of these peices...but your lack of knowledge on human anatomy is hurting your work.

Your life studies are very nice. So kudos on those.

Your faces, on the other hand, are quite weak. Practice them. They're tough to hash out, mostly because of how the human mind works, but it can be overcome with a little work. Your anatomy also needs some work. The key to both is just working from life and photos. I'm sure you'll get it.

Your use of colour is very vibrant and appealing. Your environments also look quite solid.

Just keep it up, work on your weaknesses, and you'll be golden.

cool thing u got going on here,

as some people may have mentioned already, some of ur faces seem to be lacking some structure they look rather flat, they need some more definition inside of them, maybe some better shadows and highlights so they dont look so pressed down.

hahha i like the dung beetle fight one

Last post is great compared to your previous posts. Was it ref'd? I was thinking maybe you could define the fingers on her hand. Right now that hand looks like something out of Southpark. Great piece. But my all time favorite has to be the archer getting pulled by the bird. Great creativity on your part. Keep up the great work.
