hey edite warming up for the grand international self portrait day tomorrow?
Unlike tom, who is totally stupid, not worth talking to or listening to because he are so noob... i would actually bring your upper value range back into the midtones and THEN pop highlights. As it stands the image has a slightly clipped effect. I would also warm up the shadows considerably (because your background is such a strong orange). The yellow you have used in the mids is a bit cool which gives her a slightly ghoulish look... she is missing the soft purples and reds of warm flesshhhhh
Bring warmer tones back into the darks (like you have moreso on the neck - see how the face looks 'painted' in comparison?) Once your values are back in the mid range, you can choose where best to use those highlights.
Also, watch your edges - there is a lot happening in the lips thats drawing the eye unnecessarily and you could possibly use some softer edges there, and in the eyes. Really nice form on the eyes incidentally - you can see you have been studying them!
Final note, dont ever let me catch you copying and flipping half the face again!!! The symmetry stood out straight away You lazy cretin!!!
Very nice steps forward though, and a nice new depth/clarity/cohesion in your painted stuff.
Cheers big ears

hey there! Nice portrait, plenty pretty and plenty creepy! The hair could probably do with a little more work, like her bangs being a little bit more defined.

hey there Fooxoo, great fun to browse through your SB. I think that you have some great design ideas. Some of your stuff really stands out and feels effortless. Other times it feels like you are struggling with your lines and colours. All you need is stability and a style that flows for you. I expect to see some great art from you in the future.

Thank you all for kind kind replies, comments and crits ... all appreciated and taken into consideration SHall not reply to all individually this time ... because it has been soooo long since I last posted anything hahaha
OOOOOOOK.... have not posted anything since long time ago .. lazy ass, baby in belly, lazy ass etc ... and been working on freelance for Ncsoft ... though those are no excuses for drawing as little as I have for the past months .... so here is a little dump of stuff that I have managed to do .... I ll post some more (mostly digis a bit later) ...
Ok all kinds of bullshit, some quite a bit old, some quite recent .. some I like, some I absolutely hate, but oh whatever, I just thought I d dump it all in here ...
Crits and comments always welcome, cheerio!

sweet one !
This one looks very promising too, great line work!
The expression on the tree is priceless!
Pencil rendering still feels a bit rushed,
The planes could be more defined on this
one, I really like it, but it could pop a lot more.
Keep the updates coming,

Yay update Like the sketches you've got going here. Some have some proportion/anatomy problems but nothing more practice wouldn't solve I think. Watch out a bit with the shading, I think if you paid a little more attention in some of those sketches they'd look stronger. Hurri is recognisable even to me (I've only seen him in a short interview vid a while ago) so good job there

Updatey goodness! Lotsa good stuff in here! Cool to see all the DEEP stuff Maybe there's more of that in digital form?
Thank you guys for coming over! I had a blast, even though I couldn't spend as much time with you guys as I had hoped... Next time I see you, I'm gonna have more time off, just to chill and sketch

I can't even say how much you've improved since I first met you (obviously the close encounters with Hurri has made a world of difference). I wish I had creative person I could sponge off of everyday. You've really made massive improvements in your skill and execution in drawing.
Good luck with the family making, I hope all goes well.
