    Environment - Jungle

After seeing King Kong, I was inspired to paint a jungle concept. I used Photoshop and my Wacom.

    hey man,

I saw Kong and felt the exact same way.

About your piece: I like the composition and the light coming from the side - creating areas of warm and cool. I think that maybe, just mabye a little bit more warm light should be placed on the cool side. Like on that giant tree in the background (which is currently blue- I'd add just a little though, right on the edge...as if light was coming throught the canopy and hitting in just one place.). Right now everything is divided right down the middle, creating two equal parts to the painting. There's almost a giant "W" in your piece and if you introduced some warm light on the cooloer side, it would be a bit more subtle. It might also be nice to see some life...like some birds on the vines or maybe just a tiny lizard diving into the shadows.

    very cool.

    This looks very cool jbuchwitz,

I loved the bigger that life feel to those scenes in the movie. Like Jason posted, maybe an insect or 2 or birds could give it a little extra "pop".

In the Kong movie there were plenty of little bugs flying around, getting in peoples hair and face.

Your environmental picture is very good and if you have others I would enjoy seeing them.I've always liked primitive landscapes.
