    Thanks mate !
I did this speedpainting today during lunch, 1 hour of work. Took the previous desert picture to begin with a '' textured'' background, played with brush and textures until i saw something interesting and began adding highlights in overlay, then i retouched and adjusted the contrast at the ebd. I dont like to use blending modes or auto levels too much, i feel i should be able to work without them if i improve my coloring and light knowledge.
Oh hum, i didnt use the attachement manager for this one, i was a bit over the size and i couldnt resize it from home, i hope the bandwith wont fuck up.

Sweet man! Your environments are just kewl and you got a great control with your line work and brush strokes. Just keep hitting some anatomy studies and you will be set. Greetings and cool work again!

    Thanks eveyone !!
algenpfleger, Nice link you got there thanks a lot

So well, just for the kick of updating, i fooled around in photoshop before leaving work. Random heads, a bit cartoony and rushed i know.. i dont why but i dont like spending too much time rendering these days ;P I kinda liked the emotion of the colored one tho.

havent updated in a while, but i still keep aT It when i got time.
Some photo studies, first time im doing that and i really dont know why i havent done it before...
And a doodle, to practice light colors from mind keeping in mind that midtones should be more saturated than highlights.

    todays !!!

I wanted to try sketching something using only a soft brush so there you got this spiderman sketch... A bit hard to word, i think i overworked some section and didnt refine perfectly the roundness of the rendering for its head.
Next time a body will be included -,-

Fantastic 5*-stuff here! I love the enviros - you're ingenious on lighting. Do you use a lot of reference or is it all from scrap?

thanks Zeitwolf, i dont really use ref for my imaginative paintings.. but the last 4 are color studies from photos, its a great practice to try to guess the color on photos to reproduce it.

Todays'... some mountains located in CHina. Still too undefined in some areas . I learned something from it at least.

Kuren: Hmm oh well lol i agree theres a ressemblance, but no, pure coincidence, maybe my subconscient was inspired by this cutscene i saw like 1 year ago ? If so i hope to burn in hell I added this curve to my monster because it was a nice picture composition . *edit* ??? By the way, !!! You really feel comfortable posting pic on somebodys sketchbook like that when you probably havent posted any art on this forum so far ? I hope your third post on this forum wont be destined to some kids drawings orcs and elfs in his sketchbook. Sorry for being defensive, i just found your comment pointless =/ and Im not in a good mood.

Verehin: Thanks man, i dont deserve 5 stars... i hope to one day thats why i keep drawing as much as i can ! Your sketches are reallly nice.

Today's REALLY QUICK color study.. big failed experiment, but as a punishement i will post it anyway. I had a hard time figuring the shapes in this one. Yes those are m@ brushes, i tried to use his color variation brushes and texture brushes to quickly get a leaf feeling but as you can see, a brush cannot save you from lazyness or ignorance of a subject.

hey whiteC thanks for the comment on my thread about wacom placement anyway wow your sketchbook is really great, especially the environments i'd say!!

one thing i would liek to ask is how you did those bricks on the house photo study? is it a custom brick texture that u just slapped on top of it and scaled down?

    thanks again!

Fantastic lighting in your environments. Very glad I stopped in here to check it out.

dlquddnr: hehe simple texture i found on the web of a birck wall, just popped it on overlay or multiply.. not sure. ITs nice to keep a bank of random texture to use sometime to save time with blending modes.
    fractured: thanks man

thanks for the comment you posted in my sketchbook, much appreciated. you know, your painterly photo studies really rock. I'm especially keen on them since I just started practising the same thing...perhaps my paintings will be as good as yours in the future splendid!
