monstertree: thank you sir, few strokes also mean that im lazy too lol.. i always feel like im ruining my stuff if i add detail.. it always ends up looking overworked and i hate it ,maybe i dont have the patience to really finish something, need to work on that..
Well, ill try to keep this place updated a bit, so i did a few doodles there and there, and was inspired by the DEEP contest to give it a try with fishes but well, nothing really original so far, im probably gonna do a couple of quick thumnails shapes studies for various fish designs.. however i dont plan to submit since i have not worked on a intelligent and original design with background story etc...
Thanks for visiting my sketchbook unknown visitors =)

Hmm I seriously need to work on my pencil skills... I also need to get out of my comfort zone, I need to stop doodling random crap over and over and get serious with studying, I need to draw from life more. Anyway.. I said i would post everything to keep a track of my little progress so even if im not too proud of this stuff im posting it... most of it is unrendered because i feel my weakness is good shapes / gesture , so i focus on getting more comfy with the pencil and on building stuff using shapes. I think im at a point where i start to understand how each things an artist need to study comes into play and it should be easier for me to focus on what to improve, i envy ppl at art school, a mentor would be useful. Anyway. And btw i hate those stars things, makes me ashamed to post such crappy pencil. So here are a couple from the last days... I draw a lot but most of my stuff is really not worth showing, mostly construction , gesture, shapes studies and focusing on understanding the best way that suits for me to approach pencil.. I will try to draw from life only for a while to expand my visual library.. im so used to go crazy and messy with a wacom that im having a hard time getting clean contours and taking time between each strokes with a pencil. Enough talk for now.

First time seeing your sketchbook and I gotta say I like what I see! It seems your exellent drawing skills are the strong basis for those loose digital paintings you do, which make for some sweet paintings. Your painting style is loose, which I like, especially because you hold the composition together with strong design of lights and darks. Nice stuff.
My sketchbook is still in the fetal stage, and I don't have the link, next time.
