    A Little Flighty

Just bored today and having a little fun. This was kinda inspired by Bengal's "Pinkshot". I just loved that perspective. Enjoy, C&C welcome and appreciated.

Not too bad, but stay away from those default fuzzy brushes. They don't work for this, IMHO.

Some of the anatomy is a little weird in her hip area.

D'oh, I didn't realize how fuzzy that looked until you mentioned it. Yikes! Posting a cleaner version shortly.

its drawn pretty nicely. i like the chains around her.
the black part of the two thighs seem to merge together tho. u might wanna give the leftside of her left thigh(our right) a thin line of highlight. also there is probably a reflection on the right side of her hip. right now it gets merged with the cape

hope u dont mind the slight paintover, i just added the reflections i mentioned. cause the her left our right our left her right thing was getting confusing to me, even tho im the one writing this.

I dont mean any offense here... And it's not really my place to say- But personally, IMHO, I don't think this piece belongs in FF. It doesn't have a background, and the highlights, from what I can see, is just a white brush over it. The lines are fantastic, but the effort put into the coloring looks... "Minimal" for lack of better word. My only crits would be to add the background.

If the white IS the background, that explains the white highlights- But with the smoke? There's not really any story to follow, nothing to clue us in on who she is... As I have been told many a time, a big part of concept art is giving stories to the characters through the picture.
Sorry if I may have offended you. Good luck!

Thank you Koncept, that really does make a lot of difference.

Pixeldragoon- Um...no offense taken. I just wanted her on a white background. That's why the highlights are white.

As far as the coloring goes, what would you (or anyone else) suggest that I could do to improve the quality? I'm still trying to find a color style that works
for my lineart so I am very open to suggestions.
I must admit, it's a little discouraging for me to put a great deal of effort into the color on the figure and have that be labeled minimal but I appreciate the honesty.

Right now I use Photoshop CS so I'm on a tutorial hunt.

    (1000th post woo)

Well- I like the colors themselves, but the actual quality of the shading is what I meant. It just doesn't look "Refined". Not that I have any finished work to speak of, but compared with other stuff around here.
