Right, this is it, im going to draw from life everyday! Yes another one of those regimes. But I know its going to be sooo good for me.

Heres the inside of my sb, just to keep pushing me.

    And heres the first study

Ill try and practice my line quality with excercises aswell but I need a real fun factor somewhere too. Crazy pen enviros i think. Also, Im going to try and give myself a project. Like design a city, or village and having a concept for it. When I get good at painting Id love to mix maybe a bit of SketchUp with ps.

But basics will come first. Finding different studies everyday will be a challenge in itself. I might also need a book, or general crit'ng to help me along the way.

    Thanks for dropping in

Thanks poison_art, I really appreciate it

Im still not happy with my rendering. I rush it. The slower I go and longer I take the better the drawings, obviously, but I have to make a really big conscious effort to slow down. Its all in the mind, battling against speed and also making a big effort to go back and correct any errors. Not settling for anything less the what you see. Im having a little trouble comparing tones on coloured objects, especially the edges to similar backgrounds.

Heres yesterdays drawing from life. Quite happy with the shapes but the I rushed the shading. No i dont have illuminus hair

today ive tried out painting! just messing around with some acrylics
soo fun, really want to improve and get a better grasp of the medium and colour

ive got to got a do todays drawing, see you soon

I really like the eyes in the first sketch there again and have this thing for eyes any way so ya, i hate painting in acrylics, they dry quickly and ou have to work fast but for a first atempt its really good!

    SHINEY ITS SHINEY!

    me no givarupa

    Street fighter baby!

I think my drawings from life are too small/ I know they are. Im having trouble getting in all the details. Wasnt too inspired by the subjects and was late so i could have pushed on more.

Had a bit of fun this morning copying a screenshot of street fighter. I want to paint round it, but dont want to ruin what took a couple of hours. I love skulldogs sb. Friggin awesome. I need me a bit of that!

Sorry for poor sketches, ill do some better ones this week.

    Hiya
you're still life drawings are very very nice! Well rendered and all.
I think the main thing for you to concentrate on right now is proportion and figure. Oh and colour ^^
Try to do a lot of figure drawings, also a lot of males (though I know male reference pictures are hard to find on the internet), and watch the proportions on faces (and bodies )

    You're doing really well..
    Keep it up ^^

    love
    Marleen

P.S. the images of your first few posts aren't showing.. Maybe try attaching them to your posts ^^ gotta love the CA attachment function

Good to see you're still finding time for it Chris, these show a lot of progress, you are getting a lot more confident. Keep at it.
