Maybe you put too much beard on him, and his stomach seems to be too big. I think Cervantes has more of of a six pack than a pot belly. It might help if you angle rib area of his jacket in instead of out. Anyways, if you change him to a "Black Beard" instead of Cervantes, this will definitely work. Great drawing, by the way.

Ha! I should have guessed this was you, Great title.

A couple things I noticed: The spokes on the wheel don't end up at a common center. The ropes on his vest lead from the chest to what I interpret as his right sleeve. The cuffs make the sleeves seem teardrop shaped, not sure if this was what you wanted but they feel a little too flat maybe?

Anyways these are really great lines; Thanks for sharing them!

Yeah it is screwy but meh, that's why I said it looks nothing like Cervantes :p
It's both Kanji but mostly analog.
Anyhoo, thanks for the feedback, I'll be making this my dump thread, so here's some new stuff.

I really like this! The only critique I can think of is that the heavy line on his left shoulder runs right into the steering wheel and it kills the depth there. I'll keep an eye out for your next version.

Man, one ninja could just shawe that pirates beard with one flick of his/her Katana (chicks make cool ninjas too) when the last time you saw a chick pirate? very cool drawing btw but even a little hatori (trainee) ninja could school that bloke.

    Some more stuff.
It's huge for small monitors, but otherwise if it was smaller it would kill the detail.

Lighting is coming along nice, quite the undertaking this one. Digging the hard edges. It seems you blend a lot, you could save time if you tweaked your brushes properly. *Insert another disjointed sentence .... here ->*

Yeah I am too lazy to figure out how to fix my brushes, I always end up blending too much.
Got any pointers on brush construction for Painter?

Hmm, well. Resaturation is how paint will blend with what's below it; I'm using a brush right now that's at 50% Resat, get's a little messy and blendery sometimes. But I counter that a bit with it's bristles, feature will control the amount of bristle you see, but you have to have a bristle brush.

I think you might just try tweaking your resaturation and use a lower opacity. I'm usually around 20-40% when I'm just blocking things in; only go higher for sharpness and details. But it seems to be different for different brushes and it's not much like photoshop at all.

Mess with bleed too; can't really explain what it does though...

I've stopped using blenders completely as of late.

Hope I've helped and not confused... heh. Let me know if I can clarify; man... why does it seem like I'm talking in riddles or ryhmes and a bit like yoda lately?

look at those nipples!! i mean ughh...fingers...right

ya the fingers on her left hand seem to be in an akward position. The way the glove has the fingers seperated looks painful and uncomfortable. Great sense of values btw =)

A few elements here bother me - what's that thing on her elbow? I can't tell how it's attached, either. Her left hand is rather large and blocky, with an overly-contorted index finger and too-small middle finger. Her breasts look like a couple of lemons stuffed down the suit - they're off at the wrong angles, they're a very odd shape (especially considering they're stuffed in a tight suit), and her right nipple is much larger than the left.

It looks like a cool design, very retro (makes me think of Tron), and with a few things worked out (mainly the breasts) it'll be great when it's finished!

Thanks for that Mid, good insight.
The thing on the elbow is an attachment on the suit, I'll make it more clear as I go along.

HOLY! that guys hands can cover his entire head!

lmao, your newest looks sick muh man. The Swords hilt could use more definition...Also, your character is leaning to his left, if you were to look at the positioning of his legs (Height vs Tilt...lol, thats a new one) youd notice his left leg is shorter then the other. Anyway the resolution on this monitor is so small, i cant see the image on a fullscreen without scrolling up and down...So i may be wrong. Anyway, looking good man =D

    BAKI: Thanks and I will.

Apathy: Hehehe I knew you'd like it.

Thestjester: Yep, both the hand and the legs are wonky, could have been more careful, ah well next time I'll pay more attention.
And sorry about the bigass resolution, I am spoiled by my flat screen.

Good upper anatomy for girl with dragon skull...As for girl on bike, her hand looks much better...However, her boobs are way too high...Also, the angle of her right nipple is higher than the left...
