    Mayshing's Journey

Alot of awesome artists here, it really took a while for me to decide to open up my own thread to share my sketches. Salute to all the awesome arts in this Sketchbooks forum.

Hopefully as I keep a sketch book and get feedbacks, I will be inspired to do more and better sketches.

    A little about myself:
An art student during transfer so SVA, also a freelance artist
    Age: 23 (turning 24 at Dec 9)
Interests: all kinds of art, cultures, psychology and medical studies
Concerntrate Area of practice: manga/comic art
Area hoping for improvement: enviromental art, watercolor painting, mechanical drawings, concept and.... ok... there's too much. I will shut up and post artworks now.

    People:
I like sketching from life, most of the time I don't ask people to pose for me, I prefer their natural expression and stage when they are not posing... they tend to have a habit-pose they go back to once in a while, even when they are not still.

Some South American masks, doodled at the museum. They are quite fun.

Paint over study of a photograph, simple practice, but it's some insane amount of time spent for a simple practice...

Great start for a sketchbook. Welcome to CA.org
I like the forest drawing. It's really difficult subject.

    Keep posting.

very nice animals. your works on naturasl subjects are far more imprssive than your ficticious ones. i would recommend practicing more on your fake animals. try intigrating what you know about youre animals with new, stranger possibilities. it cant hurt to try.
