it's been a couple months since I last posted in this forum, so I've got a good heap of work done in that time period to share!
these first 4 were painted for my wife's theatre group to use as set pieces in their production of Shakespeare's 12th Night (the frame was scanned, flipped, and lightly modified from a Dover Pub. Art Nouveau book):
fool - Feste
emperor - Duke Orsino
hierophant - Malvolio
empress - Lady Olivia
and this is a phot from the set, showing the emperor card as well as another one that I didn't like as much (all told, I did 6 image in two and a half weeks while clocking 45 hours/week at my day job bleh. no wonder I slept 12 hours straight last night).
the next 3 images are the base, advanced and ultimate levels of the Bactrian Lancer, a heavy cavalry unit done for Wildfiregames project 0 A.D. http://www.wildfiregames.com/0ad/
the last 3 images some of you have seen before, my entries for EOW #1, ChOW #3 and #4.
comments and crits are indeed welcome!
Yes, the proportions seem to be a tad off in some of the images (short legs, long arms), but other than that it's some very good work.
I like your pictures... especially the harpoon gun in the second of the last 3 pictures
mmm... tastes like chicken.
thanks for the compliments and tips, guys! I'm going to start to pay more attention to the anatomy, try to tighten that up. I've been doing hand studies again, which should help.
here's the last ChOW, Alaric, a shaman from the Degenesis world:
