I purchased a Graphire 3 recently with a cd which included Painter Essentials 2.
The problem is Painter Essentials appears to require Win2000 or above and I am running Win 98SE.
Any thoughts on what I can do about this. I emailed both Wacom and Corel, Wacom said they have no way of exchanging and Corell told me to call a toll free number which always puts me on hold.
Probably time to upgrade your OS. W98 is pretty old.
If you don't want to upgrade, have you tried ignoring the warning and continue with the installation? When I installd Painter 8 on a Windows ME PC, it said the same thing. I plowed ahead and Painter 8 has worked properly after installation.
This may not apply to Painter Essentials, since it is newer than Painter 8, and may be written to work with some OS features found only in W2000 and XP.
Thanks Nafa, will give it a try, the worst that can happen is "Blue screen of death", right?
I was hoping a rep from Correl would drop by and see my dilemma and have some words of wisdom to impart.
