I love the loose drawings from post #455 - especially the star-hand thingy. So cool. Everything looks like it's getting better. Good for you man- keep it up!

    Louis !!!!
Damn, I can't believe how I looked over this thread. It's been a long time,
since Praha I hope you had a blast on the rest of the european trip.
And the sketchbook is looking good. You sure are productive.
I 'm seeing improvements since the beginning, that's nice.
Like the 'pissarro' piece as well . Good use of hard and soft strokes.
Although your value control is still up for improvement.

Keep up the good work man
I have no doubt you'll be going places.

    Cheers
    Tom

nice set of images. that last one is probably the best, but i really like the whole "shot" of your family aswell.
    scarlett johansson looks sweet aswell.
eh...yeah,can't add much more right now,i'm too tired still to give any good critiques, and i assume you know the faults yourself.

great gestures man, really energetic. be careful not to outline the eyes or other things too much and try to be subtle as well as loose,
use of marker really adds to it as well, nice!
love the portrait man, great stuff. the hair and the eyes are awesome, keep it up! i suppoose in terms of likeness thats your call, but in terms of just a head on its own it looks pretty solid. the only thing i didnt like was that faint line running across the right side of the face, it looks out of place on the light side of the face. only a small thing, but its all i can say haha.

rodrigo!: hey man thanks for the props on the portrait, and
yeah it got a little smudged and bashed casue I erased too much
so some underlaying stuff was to deep on the paper to be erased
like that line your wrote about, and about the line work yeah
beeing both energetic and subtle is proving to be quite the
challenge, but ill get there soon enougth, again man, thanks
    for stoping around!!

Carnifex: thanks a lot and yeah the last one is my fave as well
I need to sleep too man, he he, keep it UP and keep those studies

Wow you just keep banging out these updates, great work!! The oil painting is fantastic. All these updates are great but my favorite is the Scarlett drawing, it's just such a good drawing!(the likeness is a bit off) but I love it so much.

    Holy shit, cabron!

The Gerôme study is looking good! One of my favourite pictures from Gerôme...

You gonna take it further? I think some areas look a bit rough... and dark... Like the silk shirt he's wearing.. go in there and smooth out the wrinkles and stuff.. you know..
