Atmo-X | Digital painting: Like a bullet, Taken, from coast to coast.
This looks like a sketch..... but i recon its a finished piece.... This was one of my first works when i practiced drawing with a wacom in school... so i wasnt very familiar with drawing on a wacom...
In this painting i was concentrating on the hovercraft.. and i tried to keep the background blurry and quck....
This was also one of the first wacom paintings i did in school.... so i wasnt very familiar with drawing on a wacom.. and i know... it looks pretty bad... but you cant be pro right away....

At this point, stick to hard round brushes, i do admire your exploration into digital art but, is better to stick to the basics, mainly perspective and alone objects or plain land scapes, placing characters / ships in an enviroment is hard, and i personally recomend for you to go step by step. you will be surprized to find that simpler things are even more fun to explore and will alow you to be the artist you want to be.

I agree with shamagim, try focusing on just a few things at a time. Maybe design a whole page of just ships and hovercrafts, focusing on the perspective of just a single ship at a time. Make sure to use diagonals to check symmetry. Check out this tutorial to see what I mean http://www.drawthrough.com/tutorials/index.html .
