You're talking about an era that produced some of the most influential and powerful artists in modern history...

Not to sound patronizing, but are you a 10-year-old Amish kid? Google "great artists 20th century" or just an abridged art history or artists' time line from 1850 to 1950. You should recognize nearly every name that pops up.

Yes it is a very uninformed post .

I agree with Ilaekae ... what the Amish dont even have internet .. man I feel sorry for them

@deez : There were so many art movment in the 19th/20th century ... & so many artists.

Or do you mean maybe specific to a certain art ?

Sigh... ignorance of art history. Here are a few names but its a very incomplete list and its mostly composed of the avant-garde because they were the most "influential" from an art historical standpoint.

    -Eduard Manet
    -Claude Monet
    -Edgar Degas
    -Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec
    -Paul Cezanne
    -Vincent Van Gogh
    -Pablo Picasso
    -Georges Braque
    -Auguste Rodin
    -Alphonse Mucha
    -Henri Matisse

And thats really just before modernism gets into full swing. As Ilaekae said, this era has some of the most influential artists in history, at least from out point of view as residents of the 21st century. This is the birth of modernism you're talking about here. Its no small thing. What is this for anyway? School paper you havent written yet?

Aubrey Beardsley seemed to be a 100 years ahead of his time. You could talk about somebody that is some what obscure.
