    Hello Snail-food (what a user name, I love it !). And welcome on CA. So, first: please post an image and not a link, it will be easier for everybody. And concerning your stuff -in my opinion, it looks too flat and too smooth. Working on darker values and some hardlines could be a good thing. That's all for now. Hope it will help ya !

    I think the tail should be the same color as the rest of the skin. The right hand seems like its just floating there. Well, the whole creature seems like its floating. Maybe if you finish the BG things would make more sense. I do so love that fur though.

    I too, like the fur, the tendril gets too vague and indistinct the further up you go, and needs more "solidifying."
    The swirly fabric strokes around the bottom of one of the iron pike things looks contrived, as if you didn't know what to paint next. I would have preferred more fur, or the bottom of the creature, something definitive. The "glow" and splotchy background again appear as unplanned and forced.

    Some good rendering skills present here, but compositional planning needs improvement.

    Fun stuff, snail food!
    Love the critter design and mood.

    Here's a bunch of thoughts for you ... consider your body beneath the fur more ... it's skeletal framework and pose ... fur can provide a crutch at times and we can easily lose track of the solid form that provides it's lattice work beneath ... hair to body is a glove to hand ... it's the hand that still determines the glove's form.

    Beyond that ... work on him until you feel the presence of the being you're breathing life into. When they look back at you ... you're done.

    The tail seems almost ethereal, since it lacks practically any significant shading even far at the base, where the fur and hand seems to cover it.. Right now it stick out way too much there because of the bright contrast between it and the dark shapes around. As for line quality, try to loose some of that thickness of line all around the fingers and tail(at the bottom left), it really makes the hand and background stick out, but in a "not fitting in" fashion. Keep it in some places but loose it in others.
    Observe the bonestructure in the above example, for me it's what solidifies the figure and gives it weight, nicely done bk.
