hey dude. yeah, reckon gauge might have a point there. tonal studies might be a good point for you to start looking into - monochromatic renderings of, preferably, still life stuff. that'll teach you a lot about observation (seeing where things lie in relation to each other via vertical lines, for instance). Great to see the progression since Prague.
Keep em coming

Good lookin' pimp-daddy!
Like dirty_C said, some value-studies might do ya good! The latest COW looks good, but if the contrast was pushed even more, and you lost the underlying lines it would rock!
Keep 'em coming!

done for ch.o.w.
edit: ohh btw i got my first paid art job. someone wants me to do 5 quick portraits after photos for him for about 100-120 euros alltogether. plus he wants to introduce me to some rather important gallery owners. seems rather fond of my work.

small full digi today,no underlying sketch.
still unsure if i should submit to this week's c.o.w. but i guess it doesn't get much better than that (except if you have any suggestions).
November 14th, 2005 #24
decided to take it into c.o.w.
and a joke entry for same activity.

November 16th, 2005 #26
thanx for the paintover man.
only thing that troubles me is that she looks less massive, which is what i was aiming for.

Hey man, looks good, your lineart is good but i have some issues with the renderings ^^ i think u should spend some more time on it, its very scribbly.
good thing u started painting too =)
Self-improvement is masturbation, Self-destruction on the other hand....

thanx both of you. calle-you're right,i'm too impatient for rendering most of the time. really slow, controlled rendering that is.
need to study bird skulls again.
ohhh got myself an awesome brushpen(which should actually be used for calligraphy).
doodling during lessons.
yeah,it really gets boring during art history on a thursday afternoon.
and finally,an abandoned pic for ch.o.w. (didn't participate at all because of lotsa other stuff going on).
hopy y'all dig.
