Its' free and it takes less than 10 seconds!
Like I promised sometime ago, I finally finished my first video tutorial.
In this video I will try to show you the complete process, from the
concept, to draw an Alien Face like the one below. The video start
right from scratch and at the end is ready to send as a concept art.
The best of all, the video is ABSOLUTELY FREE. Yes, you can download
it as many times you want. The cost? nothing. Just make a happy wish
+ More than 50 Minutes of uncut digital artist action
+ Watch and Learn (no sound at all). Just dirty and straight to the
point learning technique by watching someone else do what you do on
regular basis and catch some inspiration or new ideas.
+ Learn how to sketch right from the start an Alien's face
+Adobe Photoshop painting without special custom brushes and
complicated filters. Just what comes with the original package.
Is my first release, so don't be to hard on me! I didn't have the time
to preset it properly but I'm intend to in a very near future. You
guys deserve it!
Because in this forum I learned a lot of the techniques I use today to
work with my clients. That is a huge asset for me (and anyone!) and I
appreciate you guys toked the time to explain step by step, how you
make your "magic happens". Other times I learned just by looking at
the works people post here. There is no prize for what I learned on
this forum, I can't put a price on that. That is why I decide to come
up with this Watch and Learn video series.
Now, I said before that is my first attemp to produce a decent video
tutorial for you guys. I'm working on a very high quality version,
with menus and stuff for the *almost* free DVD/CD-ROM releases.
For more info about this video and a Macromedia Flash preview (it
loads really fast!), please go to
Ma, look, an Alien!
This is the final concept. You would be able to watch the entire
process. Get inspired as I do thanks to you guys on this Forum, Watch

Thanks for all your messages!!
I uploaded today the MAC version (.quicktime) of the video, so Mac users go to my site and enjoy this video
And thanks again for the messages
and now, I going to prepare the material for another tutorial
send me your C&C about the video
for those wanting to download the mac version, they are required to go to lulu.com... personally, i would not have this be a requirement for downloading your video -- it personally stopped me from getting it because i didn't want to sign up for the website. keep this in mind, becuase distributing free stuff is wonderful, and does a great service to the CA community. keep it up, but try to use your own site in the future.
Drawing is fun.
Thanks alot man. I think I speak for everyone when I say we're grateful.
Thanks for the tutorial! Can't wait to try some of these new techniques.
thanks man, great video tut !!
Great video!! I really enjoy your process and give new ideas of how work in the digital way....what I missing is audio....it could be great listening to your brain process while working!!
Exelente trabajo ya estoy esperando el siguiente
I'm sorry you didn't want to download the video tutorial. I don't have a big hosting here at argentina, but when I find one in the future I will be uploading all the videos for you and the other users to download.Originally Posted by vantrum
Yes, LULU has an ugly registration and the site kinda sucks, but in the mean while I think it works just fine to host the video *until I get anything better*.
Some people would say: "don't be too critic, he is doing it for free" I say you're right, isn't quite exiting having to fill a big form from antoher website in order to enjoy a video; but I'm working on it so be patience and hang in there!
Thank you all!
Tex, thanks for hosting the video! I will update the website today if you want as a mirror, but I don't want to consume too much of your transfer; so send me a PM if you agree with this.Originally Posted by Tex
I made the video with "Camtasia Studio"!
For all you guys! Thank you for your comments. The only thing I might ask to anyone enjoying this video is this: share it to anyone who wishes to have a little bit of inspiration today or are waiting to learn something different.
I will be doing another one as soon as I can! the N#2 is comming!
Thanks for the video negrotuerto—looking forward to checking it out. Special thanks to Tex for graciously hosting it for us Mac folks!
It was really fascinating to see your creative processes in action. Thanks a lot for posting this video. You work well with Photoshop's hard brushes, my friend. Keep up the good work, and if you ever feel the need to post another similar video--don't hesitate to do it!
