Hey everyone. It’s been awhile I will say that lol. Well I have been hyper busy with school so me and the scanner have not been buddies. I have about 50 – 60 pages worth of stuff to scan (a lot of it is life drawing stuff) but I figured I would just throw down the latest 20 pages I have. The most recent stuff is at the bottom. Been working out some demo reel concepts and just trying to keep the pencil moving crits welcome and needed. Just and update to everyone got another commission job, so I am excited again, will probably be for the first 10 to 15 jobs lol. I dn I think anything art related pertaining to my career would get me excited. Some paints coming soon… hopefully, and I will to try and update sooner from now on.
Some overlays from silhouettes I did for helmet ideas for this warrior I was working on.
A random doodle from my head, just needed to flex the drawing muscle.
Semi abandoned concept. I am gonna come back to this creature eventually
Another doodle from my head, this is how I started my idea for my demo reel. My finals will most likely not look anything like this guy, it just kick started my brain. Its hard to explain. Haha
This was one giant mistake after giant mistake. People tell me they like it a lot . It did spark my Priest designs but I hate this piece.
Another random doodle.
These are the concepts I am kicking around for my priest I have tons of notes of what I wanna add and fix and change but these are the drawings I have done leading to those notes
The helmet came for those overlays he is a second character I am working out for my demo reel. This is his first official drawing, still a long way to go
Last but not least, a pen sketch. I was having a bad night trying to draw my priest character just couldn’t get the groove so I let my mind wander and out came this.

really like the concepts and the ideas behind your demo reel. i am really enjoying the art work that is coming out of you for it.
my personal fav stuff is the loose gestural pen and marker stuff....
your rendering stuff is always clean, definitely something that i need to really work on...cause its always been a struggle, penmanship and line quality...
i want to see more marker stuff!!!
no other comments/crits other than keep fuckin drawing!!

well had a sketch session at the coffee shop with my sketch group posse, and just tried to keep it mellow tonight. Drew some of the stuff around me. I need to draw more from life. Each was about a 3 to 5 minute doodle. The robot guy was actually a spotlight fixture i saw and thought "hey this would be a cool robot." Right now i am really trying to hone my skills and take it to the next level.

here is the piece i worked on at sunday night sketch group. It was about 2 hours or less i believe. From reference. And anyone that knows me knows I spend more time on art and school than on gaming, but I m stoked that the Nintendo Wii drops on sunday.

I love sketchin all late at night with a full stomach. So here is my pencil sketch for chow, and some more torso studies. These were actually done really quick, i was surprised. I would have painted some more of my painter test number 2 but painter decided it wanted to crash everytime I open it...
November 24th, 2006 #89
number 13 on the torsos studies is really strong, best of the three in terms of overall proporations, light and shade, and anatomy. That pose is just plain sexy hahaha.
the one major proportion issue that I am noticing around the board is that the arms feel too thin comparative to the rest of the body
November 24th, 2006 #90
In regards to the arms. Peoples arms are skinnier than they look. So I have been trying to draw under the muscles as opposed to the true structure on top. They seem skinny because those are just lines to represent the arms. And sense my concentration has not be the arms I have cared to much about refining them.
