Oks... recent part collab with a friend of mine, oc kept dying on us so we sent a file back and forth.

i got lazy and didnt do a real background.. i know.... slack...

I'd just like to add that the add layer is my friend.. i might not see her a lot, but she and i are on good terms

These are some really awesome works you have here. I really like how you do your portraits especially. The "Bad arse bunny "is pretty cute too, probably my fave of the anthros XD. Keep it up!

Real nice work. I especially like the acrylics and the drawing of the Hussar wing figure. She has very nice calligraphic lines.

    thanks a lot everyone.

ok this time i went to the effort of putting in a bg, which is good coz it forces me to create mood in a piece without relying too heavily on the character's expression. welll ok. hes got expression, but i think the setting heightens that.

it was partially traced from a pic of brendan fraser, but i adjusted some bits, and extended the bottom of the image... im actually still kinda not satisfied with the composition though.something about it dies towards every edge except the right. possibly coz i have no framing elements. getting the wall behind him to push back on the right plane was a bugger... i still dont think i got it right.
its a rushed piece, and i dont think ive broken out of any bad habits here. other than not putting in the extra effort for the bg.

also the coloured version of the goth totems, no bg, my colouring got a bit lazy here and there. and i think some extra shading under them to sugest the base of the plinth would be in order if i was submitting this professionally.

I could SWEAR there's already a highlight on my nose...

You're right on the pic of Jinx, more space is needed above him firstly to stop the pic from feeling cramped, and also to frame it. The lighting is tops though.

he doesnt look like hes floating in the sky coz of the way hes sitting which also means he doesnt look like hes on the bike right, as well as the front portion not looking far enough ahead.

this was a fun image from way back when, not too pro, but i just am happy with how confident i was with folds. just expressing them without feeling too uptight.

ill try and get something new scanned in soon.

Very expressive material: the poses as well as the faces of your characters.

    show more,show more.
even though i'm not too fond of anthro most of the time, you manage to convince me,most of all because the characters are reallyreally expressive.
    so...show more!

edit: you should use the ca upload function to show the pics directly. people get put off fast when having to click (deviantart) links all the time. under post reply (or advanced when using quick reply) you'll find "manage attachments" further down. use that to attach pics to your post directly.

oks more links to dev, just coz its annoying waiting for a page of drawings to load, coulda sworn i set it to show less replies per page.

    http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/38387509/
this is a comic from totems book 2 i did. sell them for $4, book 2 is pretty popular

    http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/38396706/
an acryllic comission in the style of the previous ones, he wanted it to feel like melbourne. i just gave him a coffee and mixed a nice blue. the photo doesnt do the colours justice.

    http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/38646835/
mal and jinx in a naruto-ish pose, i really needed to inject some action into my drawings. next i gotta put in back grounds

    which i did here:
    http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/39058382/
a bit wonky.... i had a big mental block on what to put in the bg, then i cheated and stuck in a long fence. gotta work on my pencil colouring, had forgotten that i have to lay down shadows before the block colours with pencil.

ROFL that first one is priceless! those expressions! i love it
second one looks like it's a frame from a show-great work.

y'know, you don't have to wait for your whole page to load. just go on "post reply" at the top, attach your images with the new built-in upload thingy, and post away!

    ok update:

this was just a random drawig that i added some colour too, and actually some sembelance of a back ground, quick and easy deal, but it was effective for atleast giving it some kinda mood.
    http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/39459776/

also a character chart, its not much but im glad that i was able to draw them at the right heights relative to eachother... esspecially because i drew them not in line on my paper and hadnt thought about their relative heights until i started inking.
