Don't know if this has been suggested before, but I think it would be great to let people get inspired by a musical piece and find out what they create from it. Of course it doesn't need to be classical music but I think that would lend itself the best.

I had an idea today for this that I really wanted to see, stemming from this quote:
"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." Arthur C. Clarke
I want to see an interpretation of a civilization, human or not, where this has become the case, where the technology is so advanced that it looks like magic by our standards of understanding of technology. This is a topic approachable from both a sci-fi and high-fantasy perspective.
I'd title this in two words "Fantastical future."
Greebles are leftovers of technology. The forgotten bits that fall out of your stereo when you play it to loud. Make a town, mini city under the bed, planet or whatever location, just make it out of leftover tech.
I've been reading Gene Wolfe's 'Shadow of the Torturer', It has a very unique setting.
It starts out seemingly a typical medieval fantasy story, but it becomes apparent that it is actually set hundreds of thousands of years into the future, the vast majority of the inhabitants of this world no longer understand the technology that surrounds them, so they carve out their wretched existence in a massive and radically advanced city that barely manages to sustain itself, and is destined to one day grind to a halt. They fight with swords (guns are present but rare), they ride horses, and they wonder about the bizarre machinations that go about their business around them. The main character begins his tale as a torturers apprentice in the citadel, an enormous structure that he believes is a massive steel tower, in truth, it is a giant space ship. I'm sure you get the vibe by now, super futuristic structures towering into the sky with drones flying around performing maintenance tasks, while the streets below are muddied tracks filled with beggars, horses pulling carts and blade wielding soldiers.
In short, medieval sci-fi mish mash.
Some ideas :
Formerly great capital city
The cursed highlands
The black church
The purgatory's bridge
Military secret base
Acid lake race
The house of black and white (Game of thrones book)
Now that I've been here to see the patterns in what actually becomes an environment:
The Crimson Grove (For some reason, I REALLY want to see what people do with this one, getting goosebumps thinking about it)
The Frozen Pass
Temple of the Elements/[or a specific element] (and this one)
City atop the Great Tree
City in the Stratosphere (sci-fi near future with helium balloons, maybe it's fantasy)
Since it's halloween time:
The Plagued Lands
Wisps in the Woods (could be called Feux Follets, Will O' the Wisp)

What happens next!!! Choose your favourite film, or any film. Find a scene you like, then imagine what happens next in that scene after the movie has moved on. How would the characters, story or environment change when nobody is looking?
I just had the best idea ever:
ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE MAKESHIFT FORT
Find an abandoned building and repurpose it to be a fort/build a fort out of some natural terrain, or a fort built entirely from scratch. Longer competition so people have time to really design and think about all the little details and engineering projects that would go into the fort, along with the wide range of knowledge that would be required (i.e. lots of everyday objects).
Just think, in a world where most people are dead, you and your band of survivors (which may grow with time) can keep taking things that are no longer in use by others, such as solar panels, windmills, vehicles, guns, mobile storage containers for added shelter.
This is where the people make their new existence.
Character based environment.
Take an already known character and design their home/room/study/workplace based on who the character is. For example, (dont use this character) take Link from The Legend of Zelda. Think about who he is as a character. Age, interests, occupation etc etc. Is it before or after his adventures? Wise old link or young adventurous Link? What kind of books would he have? Does he have a pet? well, no but he has a fairy, maybe he has a little house for her. Im sure he'd have an archery set in his back yard somewhere, maybe a training dummy etc etc. Everyone's would be different so maybe the specs would have to be narrowed down to make the ground plane more even, or maybe not. Let sky be the limit. Thoughts?
Training grounds, yo!
Thanks, everyone! Just so you know, I read every single suggestion in here and appreciate the help. If you feel like you are being ignored, PM me. I've got a long list of topic suggestions from EOW winners who I requested choose themes they would like to see, so I've got a ton lined up at the moment.
I'm here for you guys, to host topics you want to draw - this is my job as humble moderator, so just throwing this out there. Keep up the great suggestions.
I was thinking that it might be nice have an archive of some of the past rounds.
It might help to get traffic to the ca.org. There have been a lot of interesting entries and critiques. Not saying every page of every round should be kept. Maybe just the finals. Could be in an archive section.
Just a thought.

I think pushing people to invent entire worlds is a really, really, really good thing on conceptart.org. A great concept artist can create worlds down to many intricate details.
